Bunny was so low key nervous and worried. But I accidentally got a brush like that stuck in my hair once and I've known since not to ever wrap hair around the entire barrel. So when I watched him wrap so much hair around that I was crying for you.

The results seems to be the same as well. It will get stuck and in the worst case scenario you'll need to cut it out. A lot of little girls do that when they are still kids. I really wonder how did that become a product, I was so scared for Bunny the whole time when they were applying them...

Yes! It's a blowout brush set. When you go to a salon for a blowout, they always start with fresh washed / towel dried hair.

Licensed professional here; I think her hair is just fine and prone to tangles :( It takes a little extra care when wrapping around a brush or velcro rollers. His technique at 11:54 worked much better. You don't want the hair to actually touch the brush, it should stay lightly wrapped around the bristles. If the brush is metal then it's going to get super hot and you don't want your fragile ends to be touching that!

The reason it didn't come out easily is because they didn't try to unravel it at the same elevation they put it in. They should have lifted up to pull it out, instead of yanking down! I am a hairstylist too and this is one of the first things I learned about round brushes. Maybe Guy just had a blonde moment lol

So obviously Guy Tang doesn't know how to blow dry hair? I'm a hairdresser from Germany and one of the first things I learned was how to blow dry hair with brushes like those and leave them on the head so the curls can cool down... I am so not surprised that the brushes stay on the head because we always do it in the salon just we have whole brushes so the handle stays on as well.... I am kind of confused... is Germany the only country where you blow dry and style hair like that on an every day basis in salons?

As a professional hair dresser this video severely upsets me. I get he's a colourist and lost of them don't "style" a client after colour but blow drying is drilled into you whilst in school. He should at least know the basics and he obviously doesn't.

the product specifically directs you to wrap your hair around the brush. yes I know better than to wrap super long hair around a brush but the video is a does this thing really work. so it's fair that they do it exactly as the directions say to use it. he's obviously not comfortable doing it but they want to give it a fair shot.

This is actually pretty normal and it works for any hair length. Guy Tang just isn't used to it. I worked as a hairdresser for a long time (I'm taking a break to study this year) and older hairdressers (those around 40-50 years old) like to do it that way and it never, I repeat, never gets messy like in this video. It is also faster than pin curling the hair after you're done, and since we use a thermal brush it will keep on heating for way longer than the hair itself.
