I owned a fabric store for years and I sold the long fur, called gorilla fur. It often got flattened on the fabric tables smashed between other bolts of fur. We'd brush it up with wire dog brushes. It will lose fibers/fur/hair as you brush so you go slowly and we'd even spray hair detangler on it if matted.

Just to add a bit of info.... Alot of the time 20-50 years old will be labeled as "vintage" & 50-100 years old as "true vintage". Retro (on wiki) is described as “a style that is consciously derivative or imitative of trends, modes, fashions, or attitudes of the recent past. Antique most everyone seems to agree is 100+ years old.

Bunny! I recommend a site called "Broadway pinups". The actual store is here in San Antonio but the website offers loads of vintage inspired clothing and accessories. Did I mention that they also have shoes? They can be a little pricey but I suggest taking a look at what they have!

You need a crafter that REALLY knows how to work with resin, to seal in all the comic book pictures to the shoe and then you'll never have to worry about it and waterproofing issues again.

A lot of the platform shoes look like from the late 70’s the disco era, which I graduated in 78’ and loved that time! I didn’t wear super high platforms like those but I’m sure I had something lower! Haha. I really liked the black platforms I feel like those would be so cool with some wild pants with big flares on them! Honestly loved the comic book ones too, bet your shoe guy could replace the straps or fix them! Loved the video Bunny! Thanks for keeping us all sane during an insane time!! Stay safe! ❤️

Generally speaking if the item is no older than an antique but not less than 20 years, it falls under the term vintage. I have heard the term 'true vintage' as being at least 50 years old
