I was really glad you talked about this one. What a fascinating story. I'm 63 years old and I remember the "Walking Tall" movie when it first came out. Just think how good the world would be if there were more men like Buford Pusser.

@@donald1841 Donald, evil of the purest form has existed for centuries! It has nothing to do with what’s going on today! I don’t understand why people insist that things are far worse now than before. Apparently history doesn’t mean anything to people anymore. If you need proof, just open your Bible. The book is full of evil and violence!

Great video Jordan. Really interesting to learn about those historical road markers. For the few of you that keep insisting Pusser was "corrupt"... The 1960s were a very different time. Justice was often meted out in different ways in rural America in the early 20th century. So, while Sheriff Pusser may not have been a "by the book cop", he did keep his promise to clean up crime in his county....and he did so while selflessly risking his life. Most intelligent people capable of thinking outside of the box will agree that he did more good than harm in his community.

And sometimes people love to attack someone after their death, when they cant defend themself.. btw still havent seen the difinitive proof anywhere.. i specualte its the usual bunch of people that thrive on tearing someone down after their death.. its a sad, and sick form of jealousy people have..

I know it's since been moved. But 1992 there was a police museum in Tennessee. They had his "Death Car" and other items of his. A badge. A club. Etc. crazy seeing that up close

I lived in Adamsville and my landlord said she went to school with Pusser and she said he fought a lot in his youth and was a big ole boy who was used to getting his way. Terrible how he was ambushed and lost his wife. I read the book The 12th of August years ago...

Hi Jordan, can’t wait for your vlog on his home/museum. I just watched Walking Tall again a few months back. I know it wasn’t accurate but it definitely was eye opening to how corrupt & crazy it was. Just horrific about his wife. Didn’t his daughter have something to do with the museum? Safe travels
