I bought a pair of glasses frame from a business in making frames that my optometrist was selling at his office in the Los Feliz area near Griffith Park connected to Lauren Becall’s eyewear she and her son were in business with in the 1990’s for my computer screen at my job. The frames are outdated but thanks to your video, Jordan, I’ll be appreciating those frames more. The Forest Lawn in Glendale is so well taken care of. I have family buried there and will continue the tradition of using them when our time comes..no rush from my part. RIP Bogey and Becall. ❤🙏 Like the Bertie Higgins song says, “Here’s looking at you, kid!” 💐🌟🌹🌟💎

According to Miss Bacall's 1979 autobiography, 'Just Me' she remembered that the LA authorities (or Forest Lawn Crematorium), would not allow Bogart's ashes directly into the care of his widow - Bacall - back in 1957, on the lawful grounds that human cremains were considered toxic. Ms Bacall found this ridiculous as they should have been purified by the 1000+ degrees of the oven. Families were required to buy a plot or columbarium niche in the host crematoria, in order to have their loved ones even cremated in the first place, so obviously the 'law' was a commercial one! However by buying a niche the family could somehow gain personal access to the ashes. This Bacall did after buying a niche that would remain empty ad infinitum. She then states that she boarded the Bogart's beloved ketch 'The Santana' to sail out of Santa Catalina where she then scattered her husband ashes (according to his wishes) on the Pacific Ocean. Bacall's ashes could be in this plot on their own, maybe with a portion of Bogart's. Only her surviving children would know, Stephen and Lesley Bogart and Sam Robards. I personally reckon she was scattered around Central Park, for many years her haven, whilst living in the Dakota Building.

Hey Jordan, thanks for this today, this Sunday the 20th of October. It's a nice refresher from all the political stuff ongoing. Gene Tierney starred with Humphrey in one of her last movies before she had to take time off from the screen for mental health issues. The Left Hand Of God, 1955, was the movie he had to help Gene with remembering lines.

Bogie would have preferred his cremains scattered at sea, but at the time of his death, it was illegal. During his funeral, he was cremated, with a model of his boat the Santana standing in for a casket. A bracelet with a whistle attached, a reference to her "if you need anything, just whistle," was put into his urn before it was sealed.

There is actually no proof she is buried in there (i think personally she is). However she said in an interview she would not be getting in that crypt. So no one actually knows where is is buried. She was cremated but all accounts I found from research says she was not interred with him. But who truly knows. However, I wish they still made movies like they used to - true talent and great chemistry. . Sadly that is very rare now.

Miss Bacall has been gone for quite a while now. It’s interesting that , if her remains are interred within, that it isn’t marked. And the fact that it’s not open to the public to pay respects, why wouldn’t her name be on there with Mr. Bogart.

Old Hollywood seems a weird place. Lots of the male actors seemed ashamed to be actors, that it wasn't manly. Bogart wasn't someone I am that familiar with, didn't see his films except Casablanca which I thought was an assemble piece and brightened by Ingrid Bergman. I think Bacall felt like Bogart became a millstone around her neck that hung on years after his death. It probably was good for his son's career either having a famous parent.

African Queen and Key Largo are my favorite movies from Bogart. I also heard Laren Bacall say she was not going to be buried with Bogart, I wonder why she said that? And for those of you who don't know Howl's Moving Castle was Bacalls last movie. And as far as I am concerned it is more important why you marry not just who. Bogart's 3 wife was a piece of work!! I am surprised he lived through that. I also really like her part in Dark Passages.
