Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, born on May 27, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained fame as a member of the groundbreaking R&B/hip-hop girl group TLC, alongside Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. TLC became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, known for hits like "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs," and "Creep." Lopes was the group's rapper and a key creative force, known for her unique style and outspoken personality.
In addition to her work with TLC, Lopes pursued a solo career, releasing her album "Supernova" in 2001. She was also involved in numerous philanthropic efforts and was passionate about helping underprivileged youth.
Tragically, Lisa Lopes died in a car accident on April 25, 2002, while on a spiritual retreat in Honduras. Her death was a significant loss to the music world and her fans.
