I grew up in the 80’s listening to “The Over Weight Lover” Heavy D. His rap style was always upbeat, which made you get up and jam. 💃. I miss him and those days… Side note, he played in the movie “Life”. Thanks Lamont, great job as usual.

I remember Heavy D remade the song "Now That We Found Love" and that's about it. Oddly enough, Lamont was recently at the grave of William Powell of the O'Jays who was a member of the band the O'Jays that made the original song.

I know how frightening a pulmonary embolism is because I get them chronically. Just recently I was diagnosed with three pulmonary embolisms in my lungs. I had shortness of breath and chest pain. Ended up in the hospital several days.

I was such a HUGEE fan of Heavy D. From my generation dude was badd an so humble. He use to come to our city an hang out at the Lake when the Lake was jumping back in the day. Lamont, thank you so much for showing where Heavy D is buried. Heavy D was one in a million. I saw him in New Haven, CT in the 1990's and Heavy D opened up for Salt and Pepper.He was singing and threw a pink flower to the audience and I caught that pink rose.He made me so happy that night!!! He was a sweet young man who will always be remembered in my heart. My favorite song was "Now That We Found Love" He had a style and grace that can't be duplicate.

Thank you so much for putting this video out of Heavy D. I have been looking for one to view. I remember Heavy D in Mount Vernon, NY when he would rent videos (VHS) at my dad’s store. He would always talk to us about music and his aspirations. Once he made it big and the world knew his name, he would still come to see us when he was in town. RIP Heavy D

Awesome video, my wife and I got covid and she passed away last week 34 years of marriage gone in 2 days. I'm far past being lost ,dazed and confused. Idk if I will get through this I have lost many people in life just like everyone else but the loss of a spouse is by far 10 times harder to deal with, my work drummer , allowed us to be together every day of our 34 years together basically I'm trying to say wear a mask and sanitize and repeat over and over lamont and be careful.
