The significance of waiting a year, for a headstone is to mark the end of the mourning period. The physical act of unveiling the headstone is a symbolic act (that) represents the unveiling of the memories and legacy left behind. It also signifies that the departed' soul has ascended and is at peace. This ceremony and unveiling is also a way to encourage attendees to reflect on their own mortality, emphasizing the importance of cherishing every moment of life. Thanks for making the trip and bringing us along. ☮

Richard was exactly the same person he portrayed to the public. He followed my mother and I out of the Chataeu Marmont down Sunset Blvd for blocks commiserating on his and my problems in life. I didn't tell him I recognized him, my mom didn't know him, he was a down to earth lovable guy.

One of my best friends has done interviews with Richard countless times on his radio show through the years. Richard was always great on his show and just a great guy. That same friend told me the day the news broke of Richard’s passing, he had been trying to get Richard back on to do a interview for while but Richard had to keep postponing because he had so many health problems and surgeries he was dealing with. But Richard always told him once he got better he would love to come on again! I believe Richard’s last text to my friend was a little over a month before he passed! And for those of you who are Billy Joel fans. Billy Joel has mentioned Richard in two of his Classic songs! Billy Joel and Richard Lewis have been friends going way back! Billy Joel said he was referring to Richard in the song 'My Life' with this line: "of an old friend who “Closed the shop, sold the house, bought a ticket to the West Coast/Now he gives them a stand-up routine in L.A.” Billy Joel also references a person in his “Piano Man” song based on Richard Lewis. Thank you for this vlog Jordan! Richard Lewis was a Comedy legend! But overall just a great person thad left a positive impact on everyone he met! Rest in Peace Richard Lewis!

Jah, looked healthy. Glad he is okay. Regarding the aging process and the deaths of so many movie stars and comedians, when you are a child you have not lived long enough to see people go through the aging process. I am 63 years old and it feels like a shock to my system to see once vibrant people become frail, lose their beauty and leave this earth. We are losing all the great talents. Sad to watch.

I don't know if you knew this before but if you come to the Twin Cities again. Visit Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. I love the idea that Hubert H. Humphrey and Paul Wellstone are buried in the same place as Tiny Tim. Tiny Tim lived out the last years of his life here and kind of the same situation where he had married a Minnesotan woman.
@jbdelАй бұрын
One weekday evening I was in a small line at the super value grocery store in so mpls. This was after Humphrey had been vice president of the usa. Hubert was once mayor of mpls. So, my friend says to me, look that is hubert humprey and wife murial standing in line in front of us. I then looked closer, and he was right. It was Humber right in front of us. So, we all went thru the line, and though this was so cool. Hubert being once again in so mpls duing regular grocery shopping with his wife in the evening with us other so mpls people. I also had seen Hubert in the pharmacy / lunch counter at 38th and Chicago mpls, having a bite in the late 1960's. Again he had been mayor of mpls. His chauffer as mayor was my friend's father, a policeman. This counter was across the street from the DFL headquarters (humphrey must have been over to that headquarters and then got a bite to eat next door. Most interesting, this was the exact store that geo floyd had tried to pass off a fake dollar bill and started the geo floyd insanity worldwide. I don't think hubert would approve of how 38th and Chicago turned into a morally bankrupt cia psyc -op shrine to saint floyd, for promoting totalitarianism wrapped up as communism.
