Love this movie! Taking place 2 years after the first film, Andy Barclay, the boy hero whom defeated Chucky, is now in foster care while his mother is in a psychiatric ward and the police have covered up the whole incident. While Andy tries to have a normal life, Chucky returns to seek revenge and those who stand in his way won't have a chance.

The movie takes place about 2 years after the original. Andy just turned 6 in the original. In this movie he is 7 going on 8.

I agree with the roommate. I love myself a station wagon! The Ford Taurus being one of them. Love my wagons. Also, I'd like to point out Brad Dourif was doing this at the same time as "The Exorcist III". What a double feature.

See in my opinion chucky made a mistake. I always believed that when chucky got rebuilt from head to toe, the rules reset. Andy was no longer the first one he told his secret to. To me his spell would have worked if he went for grace poole. My reasoning is because I don’t see any other reason he tells her his real name over the phone while audience sees it. I knew immediately when they got to the factory it wasn’t gonna work and the clouds proved it. I know they went with he was inside the doll too long but I attribute the length because chucky wasn’t aware of the change. It just my opinion anyhow

it is also possible since Grace was a bit of a b*itch that a bored and underpaid clerk could had given out the info without her boss knowing out of sprite. It happened a LOT in the early 90's and LONG before the days of the Internet. You will be shocked on the crap the disability services back then got away with including robbery of one of their places in broad daylight

Nice reaction though the OG killer doll with iconic horror dolls in any franchise is Chucky not Annabelle. Annabelle is loosely based off of a real life story but vastly exaggerated they even created an ugly looking doll just for the Conjuring films many years after Chucky. And given the fact that Don Mancini's direct inspiration came from Talky Tina, Zuni doll, My Buddy, Cabbage Patch and 80s marketing towards kids I would say as far as evil dolls Talky Tina was the real OG but as far as most popular and horror icons in the form of a killer doll Chucky is no doubt the best in thr horror genre. Without his success we wouldnt have the Slappy's, Annabelles or M3GANs etc.

Not a bad sequel but its really far fetched on the logic at times 1) How did he tied the guys hands behind his back while holding the water gun? 2) How did he tie Andy up without waking him up since hes on his side and Chucky would have had to turn him onto his back and 3) how did he get out of the trash while on his back? I am aware Horror is not big on logic but this was almost comical on how much they expect fans to accept as logic. The Foster care thing is easy. It must not had been Grace and possibly a bored and under paid clerk who no doubt broken the rules to spite her as a boss. That was common in the 90's and would has cost him or her their job but it did happen

This film is so bad, I've somehow gained a great new appreciation for _Child's Play 3._ Military school Chucky beats Child Abuse Chucky. It does. Time to stop tormenting Andy and his poor Mom who they just left in "state care" or whatever for trying to help her son and love him unconditionally. This sequel truly hates women and Mothers. All the way. Gross.

@@LFAFSTYLE Because _The Heretic_ is an immensely creative, imaginative, bizarre, off-kilter, thought provoking, whirling ride inside a fever dream with a killer score by Ennio Morricone and actual artistic, appealing visuals and wild camerawork. People don't hate the film because it's bad, they hate it because it's not what they wanted. But... the audience are not filmmakers. They almost never understand or appreciate unique takes on franchises. _Child's Play 2_ is rancid garbage that abuses the living hell out of Andy for NO reason. It refuses to give Phil a chance as guardian, portrays him as a harpie. It paves over Joanne, leaves her stranded with an intolerable husband who psychotically distrusts Andy. Again: for NO reason. The plot is bull'spoop from Minute 1 to the credits roll. Why did they write Andy's Mom into a mental institution for NO reason and never tell us what happened to the 2 detectives?? Good luck explaining that. The story mattered in the first movie. In _Child's Play 2,_ nobody cares about it anymore. And every idea the movie has is terrible. It's embarrassing! It's not dark, it's not intelligent, it's not funny, it's not scary, it's not interesting. The deaths are stupid as hell- and it's a slasher film, so that actually makes a difference. I like interesting horror that gives me a reason to watch it. That's why I don't like _Child's Play 2._
