Just a friendly tip, please don’t mention waters, or your brilliant water might not be any more once the Eastern Europeans have plundered the place!

How's the place fishing for pike now, i haven't fished it for a good few years? Id be interested in joining again if its improved since i was last there.

To be perfectly honest, the place is a mere shadow of its former self when it comes to pike fishing.. But every now and then you do get the odd mystery 20 turn up 🤷🏽♂️

How long do you leave your deadbait before you change it or try a different location. Great vid

Kevin carter Thanks for the positive feedback 👍🏼 great question. I usually recast into a different area after about two hours as a rule. However I’ve had the same deadbait on all day and had a take at the very end of the session,. I sometimes travel light and move every hour or two, but again I’ve had most of my decent fish by staying in the same spot.. I think it’s each time their own on the approach, I don’t think there is no hard rule, I think location is the key👍🏼 I can remember once going to a particular venue and had blank after blank, then all of a sudden in the same area 2x 20’s in successive trips. Hope this helps 👍🏼

Iam not saying. Iam the best pike fisherman. But. I never move my spot. Seen it done loads of times. And sometimes works. But i have found that pike have a feeding time. And if you move you can miss it. Learned this from. Going down my local lake. And someone waa fishing in my favorite spot and i sat in the next spot. He got there early and moved. At about 12 oclock. So i moved my kit to that spot. Leaving the rods in as it wasn't far away. As i got back. One of the three rods was ripping off. 15lb. Pike. Put that back in and before i could cast the rod out. 18lb came to the bank. About half hour later. 19lb pike. And just after that a15lb. But i think it was the same pike. So not sure about that one. If i had moved the rods first. And gone i would have missed all that. So now i just stick it out and hope for the best 😊

Roy Jeffery I totally agree with the feeding times side of it, sometimes it suddenly switches on like a light and off just as quick. I remember having sat at a spot from first light without a touch, then at 11-30 I had my first take followed by 5 more takes resulting in 6 doubles with the smallest being 14 and the biggest. Ring 19-10 and then about half one that was it..
