Very nice video and editing. This is one of my new goals to ride for next year. Thanks.

I’m sad to see whites ferry closed. This was my gateway into Leesburg gravel. Your videos are so usefully to me for finding new places to ride in the area.

Just as sad to see Whites Ferry close. It really was such a neat way to connect to the C&O. I guess now we’ll need to use the bridges at Point of Rocks or Brunswick. When you cross over the bridge at Point of Rocks you can take Furnace Mountain Rd (gravel) which connects with lots more gravel towards Lovettesville. I rode there in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZjFaZJjbM6Sp5Y

I heard it’s going to open back up.

I also heard about that possibility the other day. Looking forward to see it back up and running - so many great routes that can be followed if the ferry is available.

@@MountainRoadRide I went for jaunt on the c&o yesterday and stopped by the whites ferry store. They are hoping to have the ferry running this summer with the exchange of new ownership. Also, I ran into a lot of fallen trees from the storm the night before, which is not unusual, but also ran into a lot of kids on ponies spread out. Looks like there is a company doing tours on the c&o, it’s not bad at all but be prepared to slow down.

Yeah looks like they are moving in the right direction with reopening the ferry. Can’t wait! Thanks for the heads-up about all the potential obstacles.
