I just bought an Ariens 52 inch and installed the mulch kit and my blades hit the blocker. I didn't realize it until I removed it. Put the chute back on.

same mower,i ordered the full mulch kit but they are pain to install and uninstall (especially the mid piece )inbetween normal and tall grass, so i did same as you did only install the right side piece .

I ordered it from my dealer. Just ask them to pull up the mulch kit and get the shute blocker part. It was $35

My purpose for it was to keep grass out of flower beds. Yea, u will definitely get clumps due to if not being a mulching kit

Just call your dealer and get the chute blocker from the mulch kit. That’s what I did.

Do you notice any clumping on the right side of the deck? I imagine all the clippings get pushed to the right still but then just fall? If its a clean discharge path then this might be ideal for what I'm looking for.

Yes, there is a line of clippings that are left behind. It's not a full mulch kit just the chute blocker part. I dont use it in tall grass.

I just put the entire mulch kit on mine and the cut is terrible! Other than some grass left behind, hows the cut quality? Can you cut at faster speed and still get a good cut? Mine cut great before I put the kit on. Debating on removing the other 2 baffles.
