Let's put it this way, mustard gas was legal to use in warfare but because of the Geneva protocol, an International Law by the way, it was banned from use since 1925. So if our country says, using mustard gas is legal because we've been using it before the Geneva protocol, then it's totally fine? This is ridiculous to even explain what's going on. The Scarborough Shoal or "Renai Reef" is 500nmiles away from China's shoreline and is 200nmiles away from Philippines' shoreline. The whole world agrees that China is UNCLOS uncompliant and has their eyes on China right now. Again, why ratify UNCLOS if you're not going to comply?
