You obviously forgot trillions of dollars spent on war in Afghanistan and yet still losing it. So money and technology is not everything in modern warfare. Besides - it's all about how much you spend on military hardware. US military spend breathtaking amounts that absolutely make no sense on equipment, fuel, gear etc. Every war is a money laundering machine, so military complex basically asks Joe Public to sign a blank cheque when it comes to military expenses and then raid the bank. So your mentioned billions are very abstract and don't necessarily translate to something very substantial when ordered stuff is delivered.

The more important question should be: If Hezbollah attacks in full, will the US Navy destroy them? Israel is a signatory US ally, thus, the US is fully allowed to intercede using any means or methods to support Israel - from intel, going all the way to airstrikes or a Marine landing, or all of the above. Even if the US does not strike Hezbollah, I doubt they could defeat the IDF, since the 360,000 IDF troops at Gaza are not needed to contain Hamas, and the majority of them can be at the northern border in a matter of hours. Gaza is sealed off with at most a single division, reinforced. The rest are there to keep rotating in fresh troops while Hamas cannot. If the US strikes Hezbollah, the IDF will be free to concentrate on Hamas
