Your slanted description of events is unfaithful to reality. I fully understand your bias but if you are reporting history, get it right. Arabs were not dislodged following the 1948 war - they were told to leave by their Arab brethren because the Arab nations advised the Arab residents that on wiping out Israel, their lives were at risk when Israel would be defeated. Many Arabs decided to remain and are now full citizens.

Stop rewriting history and playing with the semantics. There was a people living there, call them what you want. The world call them Palestinians, because that's how they were called during the British mandate, that's how they were called during the Ottoman empire, you can trace variations of the name through history all the way to the bronze age, and above all, that was the name used by the UN in 1948 when Israel was created. But if you want to call them something else, that's ok, as long as you acknowledge them as human beings with the same rights and basic necessities as you and I, as long as you acknowledge they have the right to live in an independent country as much as you and I have. Rewriting history and pretending this people doesn't exist only makes you look dumb, it is not a smart thing to say and it does not help at all raising sympathy towards Israel, and what is scaring me in the history we have been living through in the past year, is that naive people like you seem to believe you can continue to propagate that kind of speech without loosing any diplomatic support from the western world, but as France as just proven, there is a limit to how much you can stretch it when it comes to democracies and leaders who have to deal with electors. Israel has been stretching it too far, and the western support has began to fade. I'm scared that if we don't revert this tendency quickly, which obviously requires starting diplomatic solutions and obviously requires acknowledging the country of Palestine, I'm afraid that once the support vanishes, it might not come back so easily, and Israel on its own is not going to make it for more than twenty years, and those would be very painful and violent decades.

A-@@גרשוןפרלמן people in that region of the planet have been called Palestinians for ages. The Ottomans called them Palestinians. The British called them Palestianians. The UN called them Palestinians in 1948 when Israel was created. But you prefer to follow the random less-then-average self-titled ex-terrorist's speech. Do you understand how silly that looks at the eyes of everyone else reading your comment? Can you imagine that kind of speech rising any sympathy on western democracies? Do you understand the dangers of Israel loosing the sympathy it is still enjoying from the western world? Do you understand that if left on its own, Israel is a meaningless small country surrounded by neighbors who don't accept any agreement if it does not bring any commercial advantages with the USA and the EU, and given Israel's modern history that fact is not going to change in decades, maybe centuries...? Do you understand that you are contributing to stretching the rope tying Israel to the western powerhouse to the point of rupture? Don't be the fool who believes Israel can do whatever it wants without any consequences, don't be the fool who believes crimes against humanity committed towards Palestinians will just be a dark chapter in history books without any consequences to anyone. If you don't want Israel to be yet another example of the saying "what goes around comes around", it is time to stop writing the things you write, every second is one second too late, it is time to start acknowledging Palestinians do exist, and either accept the violent solution of removing illegal settlements and settlers from the Palestinian territories in West Bank, or to accept a new country, call it Israel-Palestine, or the Unites States of Israel and Palestine, or something more creative than that, and accept that the new constitution has to be democratic and above all secular, no religion can be prioritized.

Sentiment towards Israel has shifted. In Morocco for instance, we like Israel. They won the 1948 war, then the 67 and 73 war and the story should have ended there. All countries are created as a result of wars. They are strong and their army is sophisticated, so we look up to them and respect them. However they start showing signs of weakness with radical bigots in power. If we want a chance to get the land back, we should step back and learn until we become strong and hit back with surgical precision, unlike what Hamas did.

This skirts the broader strategic issue, namely that the US supports autocratic regimes with weapons and intelligence, to control their own populations, thereby preventing democracy and independent nationalism, such the region will gain control over its own energy resources. Israel acts basically as a military base in the heart of the region to prevent that, and assists the US in that broader goal, first by assisting the autocratic Arab governments with tech and intelligence, and second as a military threat if they or their populations seek to go meaningfully independent. In sum, it serves basically as a colonial entity for US control.
