honestly, Syria is so divided that its hard to see where they stand on anything. And, as for the Chinese...they are a lot more rational than the other countries you mentioned. They might pretend to play to the country with most resources (iran) but I think they're also aware of how much of a nightmare it is to do business with religious zealots. Sentiment towards Israel has shifted. In Morocco for instance, we like Israel. They won the 1948 war, then the 67 and 73 war and the story should have ended there. All countries are created as a result of wars. They are strong and their army is sophisticated, so we look up to them and respect them. However they start showing signs of weakness with radical bigots in power. Forgot (intentionally?) to mention a little detail about 1967: Israel didn't "take control" of the Jordanian and Egyptian controlled areas out of the blue. The Arab states launched a maritime blockade on Israel, closing the straits of Tiran, which Israel had previously warned against as it constituted its right to maritime passage in international waters. This started the second arab-Israeli conflict (Indeed once again initiated by the Arabs), which Israel won. This time, Israel simply rejected the possibility of any Arab country controlling areas in its vicinity ("Palestinian" territory), like it allowed after the first Arab aggression in 1948.
