@@krayproductions7987 Well, seeing as how almost the entire Arab world either has officially ratified peace/normalization treaties with Israel and/or some form of full acceptance of Israel and are very eager to trade, have technology exchanges, and military alliances with Israel.....they'd say it's going pretty well
@krayproductions7987

@@disdoncable Sure only for economic reasons but not with heart. You can see the leaders doing that, ask the people and you will find a different answer. The fact is that Israel has made big problems for the Arab countries with the huge refuge of Palestinians til this day. The wars it made directly and indirectly. Even if you would ask the leaders they would if they had a chance of Israel or no Israel. They would take the later because that would make peace in the Middle East possible and with that economic thrive. Israel is the key issue in the Middle East.

@@krayproductions7987 This is true; it did not go well for the Arabs when they started a war in 1948, and again in 1967, and again in 1973, and '87, 2000, and again in 2023 it is still not going well for them. One begins to wonder why.

honestly, Syria is so divided that its hard to see where they stand on anything. And, as for the Chinese...they are a lot more rational than the other countries you mentioned. They might pretend to play to the country with most resources (iran) but I think they're also aware of how much of a nightmare it is to do business with religious zealots. I wouldn't expect that alliance to last. eventually, they'll see that there is much more sense in siding with Israel

There are no permanent friends in international geopolitics. Everyone looks out for themselves first and make alliances that are convenient for the present moment. @@greywolf7577 You can't be serious. You are comparing the Mongols in their prime to 1947 Israel? The Mongols were ferocious warriors. They had massive and well equipped armies. They were so barbaric that they were willing to do things the average man was too sane to even think of doing. And you are comparing them to a barely equipped Israel that had to basically build their army from scrach? They got very outdated and non-functional planes, few guns and very limited manpower. They were figthing much better equipped and experienced enemy soldiers. According to logic they should have lost, but they didn't. Despite all odds, they won. The Mongols and 1947 Israel is not even close to a fair comparison. Yaso's point is that Israel despite it being much worse of militarily when compared to it's enemies. Israel still won. Not, they did incredibly well against their enemies therefore God was on their side. It's the fact that they beat their enemies despite the odds that they claim this. Stop rewriting history and playing with the semantics. There was a people living there, call them what you want. The world call them Palestinians, because that's how they were called during the British mandate, that's how they were called during the Ottoman empire, you can trace variations of the name through history all the way to the bronze age, and above all, that was the name used by the UN in 1948 when Israel was created. But if you want to call them something else, that's ok, as long as you acknowledge them as human beings with the same rights and basic necessities as you and I, as long as you acknowledge they have the right to live in an independent country as much as you and I have. Rewriting history and pretending this people doesn't exist only makes you look dumb, it is not a smart thing to say and it does not help at all raising sympathy towards Israel, and what is scaring me in the history we have been living through in the past year, is that naive people like you seem to believe you can continue to propagate that kind of speech without loosing any diplomatic support from the western world, but as France as just proven, there is a limit to how much you can stretch it when it comes to democracies and leaders who have to deal with electors. Israel has been stretching it too far, and the western support has began to fade. I'm scared that if we don't revert this tendency quickly, which obviously requires starting diplomatic solutions and obviously requires acknowledging the country of Palestine, I'm afraid that once the support vanishes, it might not come back so easily, and Israel on its own is not going to make it for more than twenty years, and those would be very painful and violent decades.

The UN called them Palestinians in 1948 when Israel was created. But you prefer to follow the random less-then-average self-titled ex-terrorist's speech. Do you understand how silly that looks at the eyes of everyone else reading your comment? Can you imagine that kind of speech rising any sympathy on western democracies? Do you understand the dangers of Israel loosing the sympathy it is still enjoying from the western world? Do you understand that if left on its own, Israel is a meaningless small country surrounded by neighbors who don't accept any agreement if it does not bring any commercial advantages with the USA and the EU, and given Israel's modern history that fact is not going to change in decades, maybe centuries...? Do you understand that you are contributing to stretching the rope tying Israel to the western powerhouse to the point of rupture? Don't be the fool who believes Israel can do whatever it wants without any consequences, don't be the fool who believes crimes against humanity committed towards Palestinians will just be a dark chapter in history books without any consequences to anyone. If you don't want Israel to be yet another example of the saying "what goes around comes around", it is time to stop writing the things you write, every second is one second too late, it is time to start acknowledging Palestinians do exist, and either accept the violent solution of removing illegal settlements and settlers from the Palestinian territories in West Bank, or to accept a new country, call it Israel-Palestine, or the Unites States of Israel and Palestine, or something more creative than that, and accept that the new constitution has to be democratic and above all secular, no religion can be prioritized.

Sentiment towards Israel has shifted. In Morocco for instance, we like Israel. They won the 1948 war, then the 67 and 73 war and the story should have ended there. All countries are created as a result of wars. They are strong and their army is sophisticated, so we look up to them and respect them. However they start showing signs of weakness with radical bigots in power. If we want a chance to get the land back, we should step back and learn until we become strong and hit back with surgical precision, unlike what Hamas did.

Forgot (intentionally?) to mention a little detail about 1967: Israel didn't "take control" of the Jordanian and Egyptian controlled areas out of the blue. The Arab states launched a maritime blockade on Israel, closing the straits of Tiran, which Israel had previously warned against as it constituted its right to maritime passage in international waters. This started the second arab-Israeli conflict (Indeed once again initiated by the Arabs), which Israel won. This time, Israel simply rejected the possibility of any Arab country controlling areas in its vicinity ("Palestinian" territory), like it allowed after the first Arab aggression in 1948.

@@davidabraxas3757 'interest' would be an even more apt description, ally still doesn't quite capture the indifference and antipathy underlying the relationships between those MENA states and Israel- for a lot of them they just look through Israel as a means of sucking up to Washington and/or EU based interests for economic, political, and security reasons

It is only proves that it is better to work together and benefit from each other’s success. Israelis are smart and efficient people who don’t want to fight and happy to help others to prosper. Once the Palestinians will understand that war and barbarism are the things of the past they will have everything they have wished for.

@@shadrothefederalmarshal4780 They won't get it back. Israel is there now. The homes of their grandfathers from 70 years ago don't exist anymore. They have a chance of taking the land where they currently live and making it a good prosporous state, they should wish to do this instead.

This skirts the broader strategic issue, namely that the US supports autocratic regimes with weapons and intelligence, to control their own populations, thereby preventing democracy and independent nationalism, such the region will gain control over its own energy resources. Israel acts basically as a military base in the heart of the region to prevent that, and assists the US in that broader goal, first by assisting the autocratic Arab governments with tech and intelligence, and second as a military threat if they or their populations seek to go meaningfully independent. In sum, it serves basically as a colonial entity for US control.

preventing democracy and independent nationalism in arab countries? meaning, the population of these countries wants democracy and independent nationalism? yes, where did you see that, other than in your dreams? The Arab Spring in all Arab countries brought on ever harsher regimes and not democracy. Afganistan and Iraq were offered democracy on a silver plate and didn't take it.

Most of the Arab countries are not democracies and public opinion most often doesn't affect an dictatorship's policy choices. The key issue for strongmen leaders of middle East is stability. Which Israel provides happily. Unlike Iran, Israel doesn't want to overthrow governments, it just want to exist itself. Which is absolutely acceptable to most autocracies of the region regardless of their population's opinion.
