Greece is backed by the US. Also Turkey is a member of NATO as well as Greece. So, even if Turkey started to invade their borders, that wouldn’t be a realistic attack. It is just a hypothetical thought but if there is going to be something like this, it could be for the purpose of Erdoğan winning the 2023 presedential elections by playing with public’s nationalistic emotions. That is because surveys show that opposition party is gaining more power everyday and that would be a way for Erdoğan to get more votes. As a Turkish citizen, I don’t want war and I don’t have any problem with Greeks. War could only serve to a handful of people, peace to everyone. As Atatürk said “peace at Home, peace in the world”.

Intelligent Turks do not have a say in the military, jurisdiction or any governmental institution. Erdogan has gradually taken over governmental institutions by nepotism and spoils system since 2002. He had great control over jurisdiction and military after 2010 Turkish constitutional referendum. He moreover extended his power after the 2016 purges and Turkey became a party state. Although his popularity is weakened due to economic problems he still has great power and "intelligent Turkish people" cannot stop Erdogan in anyway. If he decides to carry out military operations against Greece or any other country, he just does so. Democratic reform is unlikely near term.

I would like a government that encourage people to practice their religion and stick turkish culture rather than just trying to be secular for the sake of it. everyone can agree that erdogan was a good leader before 2016. Me and my family was one of the tons of families that had to leave the country because of the coup (or would have get arrested). I personally not dislike erdogan but hate erdogan. Turkey would be more succesful if we have a westernised system but being culturally tied to our idendities. that would be the utopia for me but it is a balance that is very hard to reach.
