Brahmaastra : It was a discovery of Brahmaa. It was a missile that was specially designed to carry the nuclear war-head. Brahmaastra is repeatedly mentioned in Sanskrit works. For its use see Shri Bhaagvat describing the fight between the son of Drona and Arjuna with the Brahmaastra. The Rev. KCM. Bannerjee in his work, šThe Encyclopaedia Bengalensis,› says that the Brahmaastra was probably a piece of musketry not unlike the modern matchlocks.› Madame Blavatsky, in her Isis Unveiled, also shows that šfire arms were used by the Indians in ancient times.›[11] Brahmaastra in fact was an atomic weapon invented by Brahmaa.› Now when the nuclear weapons have been discovered and techniques of measuring radiation levels were explored, we have become able to say that nuclear wars are also the discovery of Vedic period. This fact was confirmed by Dr. S.K. Trikhaa, Head of the Physics Dept. of Delhi University in his research paper read by him in a seminar organised by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan from 11th October, 1995 to 15th Oct. 1995 to celebrate its silver Jublee function. Dr. Trikhaa proved in his paper that nuclear weapons were used in the great war of Mahaabhaarata. In support of his contention, he located some such spots around Kurukshetra where the radiation level is 2.5 times higher than the normal level even at this time when 5100 years have elapsed the occurrence of war. This level of radiation is said to be equal to the level of radiation at the spot of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan where the American forces dropped the atomic bomb during the second world war in 1944. Thus it became a proved fact that Mahaabhaarata war was a nuclear war that took place in Kurukshetra. The power of nuclear weapons can be imagined by the radiation level which even after 5000 years equals to the radiation level of Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan 60 years ago when atom bomb was dropped there by Americans. Now this proved that Mahabharat was proven a as a piece history in 1995 . Still which history book of our mentions our Great Ancestors .

We need to respect our culture and language and help in making people aware that English language is only a tool to communicate, not one's identify or a trademark of knowledge and education. I am glad, there are now many who understand this. All we need is to be vocal for local and inculcate pride in our culture. Japanese language does not belong to the Indo-European family while Indian languages do. We do not distinguish R from L. It is about finding a means of mass communication and many people agree that English is one of the easier languages to learn. English is the international language of business, that’s why it’s taught pretty much everywhere. The British Empire stemmed into every timezone-every corner of the globe. Air traffic controllers all have to speak English, no matter the country. London is the financial capital of the world and the business capital of Europe. Learning English greatly improves your job prospects in both business and trade. You can be bitter about it all you like, but it isn’t going to change anything. Like it or not, the British Empire was greatly beneficial to the overall evolution of mankind. It wasn’t seamless or perfect or bloodless but it did do a lot in establishing the values and principles we live by today: Democracy, trial by jury, human rights, freedom of speech, expression and religion. It was that recourse that ultimately gave minorities a voice, to stand up and be heard. If you had a scale with one side containing all the negative aspects of the British Empire and the other all the good… the latter would greatly outweigh the former.

As a Macedonian Greek, I have to say that Alexander the Great did not civilize India. India like Greece, Egypt, Persia, Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, and other civilizations of the Near East was already civilized by themselves. Alexander was not Great because he conquered barbarians, he was great because he conquered the known civilized world. The real people that were civilized by the Greco-Romans were the Celtic and Germanic tribes that were the ancestors of the British.

Alexander was defeated by king Porus of western India and instead of Alexander it is Selucas Nikader that finds mention in our Indian texts! He was a general and his daughter Helena married our emperor Chandragupta, of the Mauryan empire in India. Selucas and other Greeks then settled in the western parts of India and intermingled with the Indian population there.

No primary source exists for Pythagoras, all secondary and tertiary reference stories.
@manishadash25844 жыл бұрын
@k r Yes, Prakrit was only used by commoners. That is why Mauryan kings wrote their commandments in Prakrit to ensure common people with little to no education could understand. Sanskrit was still primarily used for official and academic purposes(and not just by people of Brahmin lineage) throughout ancient India. And Buddhist monks too have written in Sanskrit. Some of the early texts of Buddhism are in sanskrit and are available in Tibet. Later on Buddhist monks used Pali, derived from Prakrit. All of them are equally Indian, have same origin, but used in different contexts in different eras. All originated from vedic Sanskrit, an earlier form that existed before the sanskrit we know of today. And considering all months spent studying linguistics, I'm quite confident about what I have written. You can check about Indo-Aryan language family and Buddhist history.

If you talk about partnership with America, Indians have doubts how long will it goes😂. don't know, what is the difference between British English and American English? We have known so far that we speak English in Indian style and accent. Countries like Japan, Germany, Russia, China don't require British or American English to communicate with others. So we should learn from them.

Beautiful speech by Palki Sharma. Such a powerful and eloquent speaker. From what I can see, people in many Asian countries have such issues of "worshipping" anything Western. For example, in my home country China, people pride themselves on acting "westernised" even though we were not colonial, and further, we are technically sworn enemies of the West. As much as us the people appreciate western values such as freedom and democracy, we need to really focus on educating our children more on our own culture and values. Great initiative by WION!! Respect from China. 🇨🇳

Even though competition is good in every aspect but it shouldn't not pose a threat to integrity of India Tamil Nadu has strong regionalism. If they leave this dravidian theory like rest of South of India states then Hindi may become national language but I think they don't have any problem with Sanskrit. They should clearly know that English is also an Invader language. @ClickNSpam I know what I am talking of...corruption is everywhere even in the communist government of China. Parliamentary democracy may work for small country like yours not ours...it takes 1 month to cast the votes of a billion people and millions of dollars in conducting the election. Moreover a leader tend to be stronger in a presidential democracy and not in a parliamentary democracy. The prime minister is the first among the equals which is less powerful compared to the president in a presidential system. He must take quick decision. In a small island nation like yours any shit can work.

Also US has an economy 8 times bigger than UK so...shut the f**k up. US has a per capita GDP greater than British. India should follow US not UK. As for Modi he trying to run a parliamentary democracy in a presidential manner which is worst case of both
