My question is if a couple, a woman wants abortion and people force her to give birth , how well do you think she is going to turn out into a good mother ? The chances are 50-50 . There are so many points here that are incorrect but I will focus on just one. I believe a more accurate translation of the commandment is 'Thou shall not commit murder'. How many babies die each year globally? How much money is made from their body parts? There's a whole industry that profits from abortion, not just the clinics that do the operation people who buy and sell whole foetuses. The money from this is blood money and the victims are the most helpless and innocent.

Any trade of foetuses is/should be illegal and if there is a country where it takes place it should be banned immediately. Idiots don't understand the downsides of an unwanted pregnancy. A woman has to go through so much pain to give birth and later on she has to spend her next few years looking after the baby. She has so many things to lose and if her family is financially unstable, they will keep on suffering for years until their child becomes independent. Instead of bringing a child into this world whom they can't provide for its better to abort. And even if it's not about economic status, there are women out there who do not want kids. Over the years, as an OR nurse, I have tried to give extra support to those having an abortion as I knew the pressures they were under from the soul searching needed to take that step and the condemnation of family members and others was considerable. I’m not religious. I believe in morals. What’s morally right and what’s morally wrong. I understand why people want abortions. I get it. Having an unplanned baby is inconvenient. We live in a society we’re people don’t want to be held accountable for their actions. It’s the easy way out. I truly believe abortion is morally wrong. If someone does not want a baby then they need to be smarter with how they do their bedroom fun. I understand that people can still get pregnant when using contraceptives, but that’s a risk of having bedroom fun. I believe if you are not in a position to have kids or want kids, then you shouldn’t have bedroom fun. drinking while driving is a risky behavior and if you get caught, you suffer the consequences. Having sex can be a risky behavior, and if you get pregnant then the father and mother are responsible for that life. I think it is a bit more complicated than that. In law if you murder a pregnant woman you are charged with taking 2 lives. If you legitimise abortion this conflicts with that law. There is also the issue of where is the father's right to have a say in the abortion?

Father’s do have the right to say what they want with a abortion but ultimately it’s the mother’s body that will carry the child ( if she goes through with the pregnancy) so the final say should be hers, however she should take the father’s opinion into account, if the mother doesn’t want a abortion but the father does I believe he should be able to leave and opt out of child support before the baby is born, if the mother wants a abortion and the father doesn’t then unfortunately for him he has to respect that choice because ultimately it’s her body.

We have so many children in orphanages, not even able to live a proper life, unemployed people because of overpopulation, so many poor families who can't afford 3 meals per day but we give more importance to fetuses that are fully dependant on the host. Do we only care about "human life" before its birth? Where is the support and respect after its born? I believe that all women deserve the right to choose for themselves what they should do with their bodies. If a woman decides to murder a child, it is okay. After all, her body, her choice. It`s a lot easier to murder another person than to deal with the consequences of your actions, or in the rare case of rape, to deal with the process of pregnancy and giving birth. How weak as a society have we come, where we would rather murder children, than simply deal with the hardships life throws at us? People are tormented, starved and beaten every day, but now suddenly because of the hardship of taking care of a child, we have come to justify murder? Sorry Palki, I agree with you on a lot of topics but on this, I don't. You mentioned it is not OK to terminate after 26 weeks, how is that different from 6 weeks? Why not 48 weeks? What if something unfortunate happens then? Is it OK to terminate under same circumstances then? I know I am a guy and don't know what a woman goes through but logically a fetus is a fetus till its born? Yes, under circumstances of mother's life threatening situation, forced sex or baby being severely undeveloped for it to lead a meaningful life, we can agree, but why not pro life? I was thrown out of my house with barely enough salary to rent a house and provide for groceries with a wife and 2 month old, would it have been OK if I killed my unplanned son then and divorced my wife with whom I did an arranged marriage or did I do the noble thing to try my best to fight it out and provide for my family because they are now my family? Should I have been given the pro choice? Because I went through depression because they were my responsibility but it was a burden at that time. I fought through it, with them and they are the best things in my life.

I mean , I do agree to a certain extent. Like , say two people who had intercourse , but not with the goal of conceiving a child. If a woman wants to have said kid , but the man doesn't want to be associated, I understand that - in such cases , men should have no obligations or rights over the childs . The man can be viewed more as a donor. Like in some cases , men who want to have kids , without the assistance of a woman ( I mean partner , in terms of rights and obligations ) can get surrogates.
