It was wrong for the US to antagonize Russia in the first place, but Russia cannot be allowed to take the entirety of Ukraine. It's a Germany and Korea moment. There should be a plan for NATO forces to intervene if Russia reaches the Eastern bank of the Dnipro River. It's best for Ukraine to pursue peace now and become a neutral state to prevent further territorial losses while the battlefield is relatively static.

What you missed. Russia ground troops moved forward leaving their supply base Belgorive Now Belgorive and their supply base have come under heavy attack. Most probably Ukraine will now try and destroy the Russian Army cut off from its supply. It's like H Norman Schwartoff said of the Iraqi during the 100 hour war.
