Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has renewed nuclear threat to the West, possesses the biggest weapon ever made, the world’s largest ever nuclear device - the Tsar Bomba or "the Emperor of Bombs".
On October 30, 1961, at the peak of the Cold War, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev sent an unmistakable warning to the West by testing the most powerful weapon mankind had ever seen. The Tsar Bomba was 2000 times more powerful than the American bomb dropped on Nagasaki and 10 times the total firepower used in the entire Second World War.

Nope they are practical for a torpedo deliver system. Look at status 6 nuclear torpedo, it can have a yield of 100 megatons. You only need a few to destroy all coastal US cities and islands and you don't even need to be accurate just explode near the target. And they are stealthy, and have a less complex delivery method compared to missiles.

Short answer: No. This baby was so big that it needed a specifically modified bomber to carry it to its destination, hence it was never designed for usage in war. Intercontinental missiles with hypersonic and MIRV warheads are much more practical and still very effective. But it doesn´t matter. The usage of strategic nukes would always result in MAD.

The Tsar Bomba was designed purely as a 'statement' of Soviet capability. (And probably a 'warning' to the west) It has little military significance, today. That's the reason most nuclear weapons 'top-out' at around 10 megatons. Remember, thermonuclear weapons can be built, pretty much with unlimited power. If you look inside it in the photo it has 6 smaller nuclear warheads inside it they are the shiny metal cylinders, the tirtiary stage which was not used was to be in the center and on top of that the outer casing was supposed to be uranium and they used plain old lead as the reflector/tamper layer. Maybe he does have the worlds largerst nuclear bomb but his country is the one that is completely surrounded with nuclear weapons
