A passenger has died, and 30 others have been injured after a Singapore Airlines plane from London was hit by severe turbulence over the Andaman Sea. Some passengers said the plane began shaking and then there was a sudden drop.
The plane made an emergency landing in Bangkok.

The plane didn't "drop 6,000 feet". I had already pointed out in the comments that this was an incorrect interpretation of the flight data, as the 6,000 feet descent was regarding a controlled descent to a new flight level which took about 6 minutes and not part of the turbulence that caused injuries. Now I don't see that comment anymore, did you remove it?
