Basically yes, the corporations will buy cities, have theirs own police forces and military forces and then eventually be like China with theirs own Robocop, eliminate the human factor and those at the top will total control with machines. China's government just ahead of US in this with PLA, the military force for the CCP Party, not for China, but for the party.

The problem with attracting people who want to become cops so they can be the change they want to see is the culture inside each police department preventing new officers from speaking up and suggesting new ways of handling problems. Why would anyone who passionately wants to change policing sign up just to be shushed and commanded to do what you're told?

These ruling party workers are the only people that cops give respect. For everyone else, Police that them like dirt. Police in USA is actually nice compared to many other countries. These issues can include but are not limited to poor pay, high liability, physical risks and mental health issues, not to mention attendant higher rates of self-medicating behavior, divorce, suicide and depression. Further, Service jobs tend to used by Middle and Lower Socio-economic levels for what upward mobility can be had, both ethical and unethical. Just sayin....

Never ABUSE people coz one day, aty may happen to you or your family! at the clinic where my sister works, and I have no idea if it is a coincidence or not, but most of those diagnosed with cancer or Alzheimer’s are either former guys like those ( many are former police or people in partition of power before) and who used to work in the excessive use of force.. or bullies like this or those ones! I am also not astonished to have heard a story of a white French girl (in A big city of France) whose boyfriend was brutalized by French police. She managed to get work at a bistrot (I will not name the place for obvious reason) which has many French police clients and she spitted in their expressions or soups!! You may be a French cop with power but people are smarter than you and can add “champagne” in your coffee!

It is foolish to imagine that an idealistic cop can effect measurable improvements on how American police forces operate. The overall negatives of the job are so overwhelming that only 2 types of people are attracted to the job: The ideaistic and those who have a record of failure in their life. That us, they are losers with no alternative oprions in life. Those with sound political skills advance into the command staff, which contributes to the negatives of the job. American policing is generally ineffective with about 1.8% of arrests resulting in convictions and about 70% of felony arrests are never prosecuted. Thus, after a few years, the ideaistic leave to pursue more attractive options while the losers stay because they don't have better options. It is fiction to imagine that 2% of competent, sincere cops could have a positive impact. They just can't counteract the 98% losers. American policing are ineffective, militarized to view the law abiding public as the enemy and as such, they take outbtheir frustration on the law abiding public to give an illusion of effectiveness.

@@stupidburp Singaporean police model can be followed. Increasing salaries (especially at lower levels) and severity of punishments on corruption. Police have to stop bowing down to political pressure. The only reason they were unable to do anything to prevent the cow vigilantism was because each group had a BJP leader supporting it. Similarly, Delhi Police stood and watched silently as Congress executed the Sikh genocide in 1984.

The problem is that there has been no accountability for years for these, "peace officers". You talk to even the most kindest, peaceful person and they get anxiety during a basic traffic stop. You shouldnt fear the police. You should look to them as the people who want to help you. But what they represent has become so corrosive, so toxic, that until there is major change or some sort of "reset" on what they represent, no one will safe while these "Peace Officers" are whre they are now.
