I don't see what's wrong with holding police accountable for their actions. In my city the same officer was involved in 2 road rage shootings and recieved no punishment. In one situation part of it was caught on camera when the off duty officer followed a man as he was taking his wife to work and approached the man with gun in hand. It led to a shootout in a public place and the other party was the only one arrested. Also the off duty officer had 3 days before he had to give an official statement while they question the other person in his hospital bed.

They can lock you away for 10 years without even being given a trial, no punishment. They can stop pretty much anyone then take their money , take their car, take your stuff without even charging you with a crime and they get to profit directly from that, no punishment and they get paid extra. They can just give out fines for things your not even guilty of and profit that way too, no punishment and they get paid. Yea polices are definitely better then non police who can't even get away with all that without at least a warrant.

Why don't cops actually speak up when things like this occur? They always bring up the "just a few bad apples" excuse when things like this happen but there's so much evidence of systemic racism in police departments around the country and yet they don't say shit about it. They're quick to whine about how hard their jobs are and when one of them dies in the line of duty, but when innocent people get killed or beaten by them or when there's evidence of deputy gangs and a racist culture, they don't want to acknowledge it. I've only heard one instance of someone being a whistle blower in recent years and he got nothing but harassment and gaslighting from fellow cops.

In those cop's text, one cop said he would buy anyone a prime rib dinner to anyone who shoots the mayor. Then the white guy was mad the mayor called for an audit on the police department over racism and to view text messages and fire those cops and said the white guy out of nowhere said they should audit him instead when they are trying to discuss the police department and racism. The white dude was being an apologist and there was no reason for it.
