Doubt- If the connection between the Earth and the moon breaks, which of course never will , but what if it breaks So what is the moon go in the straight direction or will it stay where it is? Because the space has no gravity/gravitation? (The connection breaking Part was just an imagination)

First of all let's understand the concept of centripetal force Centripetal force -a force that acts on a body moving in a circular path and is directed towards the centre around which the body is moving. The motion of the moon around the earth is due to centripetal force.the centripetal force is provided due to the force of attraction of the earth. But if there were no such force then the moon would pursue a uniform straight line motion.
