I have one doubt..... that is in my text book the value of G is 6.67 but here you only take 6.7???
@EducationLessons2 жыл бұрын
You can take any from 6.67 or 6.7.. more digits after decimal gets you to more precise answer. But, by rounding off to single digit decimal, we can ease our manual calculations. You should consider low value if last digit in decimal is less than 5. For example : 6.64, 5.44 and 2.32 can be round of to 6.6, 5.4 and 2.3 respectively. Similarly for last digit in decimal is greater than and equal to 5, than you should round off to one step high value. For example: 6.67, 5.55 and 2.39 can be round off to 6.7, 5.6 and 2.4 respectively. Hope this helps!
@RashmiSingh-ey3jm2 жыл бұрын

If you are doing manual calculations then you can reduce values to single digit decimals for your ease.. If doing on calculators, more decimals can be use to get accurate answers.

at what height above the earth surface the value of acceleration due to gravity becomes 1/4 of its value on earth surface ...can u help with this question???
@EducationLessons2 жыл бұрын
You can consider two cases for this question - As we know, on Earth's surface g = GM/d² Now, G and M are constants. So, g is inversely proportional to d². Or, g ~ 1/d² (let us use ~ as proportionality symbol) ------- (1) Now, case two is when g changes to 1/4rth of g. So let, g'=g/4 So, we have, g' ~ 1/d'² Therefore, g/4 ~ 1/d'² ---------- (2) Dividing (1) and (2), (We are doing this to cancel out g and to find relation between d and d') We get, g / (g/4) ~ (1/d²) / (1/d'²) 4 ~ d'² / d² 4d² ~ d'² 2d ~ d' (as distance cannot be negative, ignoring -2 root of √4) Thus, at 2d distance the value of g becomes 1/4 of its value.

4:48 Sir I have a confusion on this part ,why you have taken 10 in denominator and 10 in numerator ?? If this a mathematical law so please sir make tutorial on this method
@EducationLessons2 жыл бұрын
These 10s are nothing but the decimals of 6.7 and 6.4 We are removing the decimals of 6.7 and 6.4, writing them as 64/10 and 67/10 In numerator, its 64 and 10 goes in denominator. In denominator, 67 x 67 and 10 x 10 goes in numerator. Note that, 10 x 10 can be written as 10² or 100.
