N-body simulation made with Python, parallelized with numba, and animated with matplotlib.
N=100.000. Computation time around 5h for 2.000 steps. Around 1s of compute time per step. Collisions are handled with a softening length.

@@SaturnIsHereguys For computing I only use Python. For visualization it depends. For 2D animations usually matplotlib (a python package). For more sophisticated 3D stuff I use Blender (scripted through Python)

​​​@@sparky6757Uhm, aktually. The square cube law shows how radiation (like light from stars) gets weaker as it emanates outward, as the individual particles are spread farther and farther apart. So further away things appear much dimmer. Plus, when we look between the stars and galaxies, we just see more galaxies. Fun note, the farther you look, the older the light you're seeing, the earlier into the universe you can examine. Because light from far away and a long time ago is still falling through space now, we can see things from a long time ago now.
