After what he managed to do at both ends of the ice in this tough job on this wonky line having to play shut down more than anything for team canada atthe U18 WJC I would've expected to see Liam Greentree at maybe one of the last 2 spots there. As for Demidov, although latest reports are optimistic, i'd say this second injury on the same knee is still a big worry come draft day. Teams will need to do their homework on this.

Whoever Pronman's connections are have a high grade on Yakemchuk. He brings up the fact Yakemchuks size, physicality, and offensive skill is tantalizing. His shot and strength are very impressive as well. My bet is scouts believe Yakemchuks build would do wonders in the NHL. The worrying part is he is already a late birthday and doesn't have the best defensive mechanics. Get's beat too often against inferior competition and can look out of position. That's my synopsis

He is an extremely skilled player that crushed USHL competition and is almost certainly going to be drafted too low this year.

@@shmoo232 Nothing at all to do with the U18s. A scout referred to him as "top ten skill , but bottom ten character." He was kicked off multiple teams (one for peeing on a teammate's things, one for posting a picture on his social media of a teammate with a building blocks shaped like a swastika), has allegations from parents of several of his teammates of bullying as well as allegations of racist comments towards an opponent.

I would suggest reading up on the many ways in which Connelly has learned and has made up for his past disgusting behaviors. It is always a struggle to gage a person's character based upon how they acted as a sixteen-year-old, but I accept it is reasonable to be skeptical of personal growth until it is beyond a reasonable doubt.

I think/hope the Sharks have Ryan Merkley’s character issues fresh on their minds. Probably aren’t going to be gambling on questionable guys early in the 1st round. If he’s available at #33 or #42, it might be a different story though…

I just hope Eiserman is available by the time the Sharks pick at 14. He's fallen a lot, but less than a year ago he was ranked higher than Celebrini by a fair amount of people. I still believe he can be good and if he's available at 14 then you gotta take the risk. He might not have scored a lot of points, but he did score 25 goals in 24 games and 9 goals in 7 games at the World Juniors. He's for sure a pure goal scorer at the very least.

The one prospect that he missed was Teddy Stiga. Before the U18, I had him at #11 on my board, now he's #8. Underrated two-way winger, best skater in the draft, and best defensive forward. Offensively he's really good apart from using his size.

Montreal recruiters are the worst in professional sports. Last year the draft was stacked with quality forwards, they even passed on Mitchkov, to take a defence (Reinbacker ranked 15th). Now this year they wake up to the fact that they lack forward talent (duh..) and will pick a forward in a draft year which is stacked with much better defencemen than last year and in which there are very few good forwards. You can not be more incompetent than this. How can you fail every time like this, year after year, it is incredible.

Pretty embarrassing take to be honest. We know for a fact Philadelphia Arizona and Nashville wanted Reinbacher they even trade offered montreal to move up. They needed a right shot defenseman wich is harder to find than a winger. Plus this year's top 10 being loaded with defensemen will be beneficial for Montreal since they might end up with one of the top 3 forwards of the draft even at rank 5 or 6 or 7....never go full retard bud

Another glorified crap shoot of a draft which for entertainment purposes is good for fans but not for talent past the top half of this list. It's the same level of lame as 2022 maybe slightly better but I'm not impressed.
