It’s time to take a look back at 2013! Which was… 12 YEARS AGO??? Let me down below, which prospects were YOUR favorite from 2013? And what tier would YOU put these former prospects in?

As a caps fan, the hype for Kuznetsov during that time period was unreal. The caps were missing that 2C behind backstrom and we were foaming at the mouth for kuzy, especially when he signed a 2 year extension on his KHL contract in 2012. But man he was certainly worth the wait. It’s a shame he didn’t put forth 100% in being the best he could be because when he was on he was a top 5 player in the league. However we will always cherish him for 2018 and even moreso for slaying the dragon that was the penguins.

@@boydriceisawesome2520 He said top 5 player in the league during that time (2015-2018). Which yes, if he had of given 100% every night he could have been. His problem was ego.

I'm happy to see Monahan having a great season. He was so good on the Habs even though when he arrived he was pretty much seen as a cap dump/reclamation project.

We love Barky here. Couldn’t ask for a more complete player. He’s been off lately, but I’d rather him be healthy for the playoffs.

I miss Nino in Carolina. Just a sandpaper dude. He understood his role and worked hard in front of the net.

Kuznetsov has to be superstar tier imo. Still averaging a point per game in the KHL not a certainty he doesn't still have more in the tank. He was absolutely a superstar in the 4 year peak he had 2016-2022 and he had 32 points in 24 games on a Stanley Cup winning team.

Man, imagine if the Blues had drafted Roman Josi over Jake Allen in the 2008 draft. Would have left their d corps in a lot better spot than they are now.

What was weirder about Ryan Murray is that on Draft Day the Isles offered Columbus ALL THEIR DRAFT PICKS for the #2 pick to get Murray, and Columbus TURNED THEM DOWN! Columbus seems to be a miss after a miss, but this one was maybe one of their worst. They could have had players like Parayko, Hellebuyck, Morgan Reilly, Adam Pelech.... basically an entire D core and HOF goalie.
@emilshellbornКүн бұрын
If Gaudreau is HOF then so is Scheifele. Not sure either one is though, Scheifele might end up there in the end.

Klefbomb was the oilers best D. He had top pair potential and left a huge hole on there D core till ekholkm arrived. If he doesn’t retire because of injuries they never pay nurse 9 mil

I think you could probably split the good tier into great and good. There's a few players that were better than just good but not really superstars.
