I think this year we actually have a legitimate 2 or 3 horse race for 1st overall. I'd be pretty surprised if Hagens goes 1st overall. His size which whether anyone wants to argue it or not is a big factor for scouts and will be questioned heavily. I don't think he has the high end potential Jack Hughes had I think he's great at the junior levels but I think a lot of questions of his translatability will come into question as the year continues. Which goes hand in hand with the size debate I also think Misa and Martone are criminally underrated by a lot of people especially Misa last year he got buried in the lineup on that insane team in Saginaw he was 16 on a Mem cup winning team with a lot of 19-20 year olds established OHLers ahead and now that he's more the guy in Saginaw we've seen what he can do.

Sharks fan. I'm just excited to see our options lol. Many sharks fans aren't even hoping for #1. Rather have a winger or d-man. But if the sharks get the #1 again... 🤷‍♂️

And it's maybe crazy to say this but I don't think Hagens fit the Shark's need atm, no matter all the talent there. We already have a ton of playmakers, good passers and that's what Hagens is too. I'd be more happy for another bottom team to get him, and maybe we luck out 2026's for McKenna, or 2027 for Dupont. Top scorer/winger, or top dman is what I'd be way more happy this year

I'm right there with you. Obviously Hagens would be aweseome, but they really can't go wrong with one of Martone, Schaefer, McQueen

Yep, just remembering back earlier this year and how f***ing pissed off I was going to be if Chicago won again.. That they almost had both Bedard and Celebrini is messed up, NHL shouldn't allow any team to win the lottery twice in a row and I say that as Sharks fan.

I can see Kyle Davidson trading up for Porter Martone. We need big scoring wingers badly especially having one who can compete and forecheck. Wouldn’t be surprised if we package both our firsts to come up into the top 3 to take him if he’s available.

If the Flyers are fortunate enough to pick twice in the first 16 with their second pick it better be Ryabkin ... I have heard he is dropping outta the top 10 but with his upside and possibly pairing him with Michkov on a potential Russian line as the centerman, I'd be po'd if they did not take a *flyer* on him, no pun intended!!!
