If the GM plays it right, this team could surprise earlier than people think (still a few season away..but they'll get more competitive)

The Ducks also have a late first round and two second round picks. They also have a very good pool of prospects. They may try a package with that late first, maybe one of those second picks and a decent prospect to trade up. Then there is also what Anaheim would get if they trade Zegras (I hope not). I doubt Verbeek picks those with the third pick unless he trades down a few spots. Chicago passes on Demidov and the Ducks aren't interested I would expect more than a few teams will be calling to see if something can be worked out.

Good mock overall but Sennecke over Catton or even Helenius would set Buffalo back another 5 years. The next best true Center on the depth chart after Tage and Cozens is literally Noah Ostlund. All these smaller guys like Savoie and Benson have shown themselves to be wingers in the NHL. The Sabres need a 3C so much more than they need a winger who barely produced at a point/game rate on a decent team. Sennecke has flash but they absolutely do NOT need another winger

For Nashville, if Helenius is still available at 15OA, there is no way Trotz isn't calling trying to get Helenius. Nashville's prospect pool is at a point where they need more high end talent, and with the number of picks Nashville has I can't see a situation where they don't try to move up to get someone like a Hage, or even a Catton if he is available at that point.

Strongly disagree with what you have at number 10. There's a strong chance Eiserman will be there at 14 and the gap in value between 14 and 10 is a fairly early second (about pick 38 or 39). The Sharks value Ferraro more than that. If there was a 14+42+116 for 10 trade they might do that, maybe 14+Bordeleau, but they'd use the pick for Parekh based on this mock.

@@GravitehHockey The Sharks' reported asking price for Ferraro is a first and a top prospect. They're not trading him because they need to, they're trading him because there's a market for him and they think they could get good value. Taking significantly less than the value in order to trade up in the draft in order to get a player who has a decent chance of being there without trading up (and there are good alternatives if he's not) doesn't make sense. That's especially true when your biggest weakness is defense and you're trading away one of your best young defenders in order to get a forward. It's possible they'll grab Eiserman at 14, I just can't imagine this scenario happening.

Sorry, but in no world will San Jose trade up to take Eiserman who they will more than likely pass on, even at 14. They need a D, and imo will only take a forward if Helenius is still there. In your scenario they would absolutely take Parekh.
