Thanks! It is working out so well, and thank the Lord everyday for Jeff - not sure how I would ever do this without him. Have a great weekend :)

Just came across this recently. I've wanted to do a pvc system so I saved this video to use for reference. Also I bought the cups and love them. Camille hasn't been able to destroy them yet😅.

Glad we could help! Yes, we finally found cups they can't eat 😄

I would recommend to change that into a loop that way if you connect a pump and a bucket heater to keep it freez free
@HomesteadFresh Жыл бұрын
Running it in a loop... That is a fantastic idea! Thanks so much😃

If you made one drop down with the pic and trun the tee the other way, you would have had enough room to use the screw to fasten it to the cage

You are absolutely right! We thought of this after all was done. We think we will do exactly that when we get around to rearranging. Appreciate you stopping by and following along 😊

Where did you get your waterers from? Do you have a link?
@HomesteadFresh Жыл бұрын
We got them off of Amazon, but you can get them directly through Rent-a-coop. Here is the link to the Amazon ones we purchased: www.amazon.com/RentACoop%C2%AE-Watering-Animals-Chinchilla-Pack/dp/B09ZLTRF5M/ref=asc_df_B09ZLTRF5M/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=647227278427&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12059640502319594569&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010478&hvtargid=pla-1721775011918&psc=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJuTrcxQwtEY06ZkHB-y7rbrbAYfGrLqQaRyKFzOzDxLslaepKXLxxYaAm8AEALw_wcB

Try using pool noodles for insulating your pipes. That is what we do here in Georgia
@HomesteadFresh2 жыл бұрын
Yes, we explain that is what we were going to do... Not sure if I edited that out of the video - but there is an update video that shows the insulation in the rabbit shelter. We've been using pool noodles on our water catchment for a few years and they work great! Appreciate you stopping by and commenting 😊
@kimalots935311 ай бұрын
So how are the cups holding up?
@HomesteadFresh11 ай бұрын
They are still going great! We do have an issue with one that the bunny keeps turning sideways, but that's our fault for not anchoring it good enough - but we are fixing it this weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that we had no freezing issues this winter. Love these cups!
@toneandersen29448 ай бұрын
Do they work in the winter? :)
@HomesteadFresh8 ай бұрын
They absolutely do! We put insulation around the pipes and had also insulated the water container that gravity feeds the waterers, and the sides were down on the shelter as well. Not a single one froze outside of thin sheet of ice on top of the water in their bowls, which we easily just busted loose with our fingers. It was a mild winter this year, but we didn't have any issues last year either. Thanks for stopping by and we're happy to answer any other questions you may have. 😊

Hmmm... Didn't think of that. We just opted for the front because the nest boxes tend to get pushed back, but I like the idea! Sometimes it just takes a new perspective - thanks so much!

@@HomesteadFreshthe issue I'd be concerned with would be being able to service them if they're in the back. It'll be more difficult to access.
