holy shit this is the most interesting thing I have seen for gravity dyes. Defnately trying this, it takes up so much less space

Dude!! What a great technique!! You’ve been killing these videos. We use just a tiny piece of scrap t shirt over our shirt and clamp my hemo’s down on it and take it out after I spin it up. After tearing a hole once I didn’t want to do it again. Great work and way to think out of the box.

Thanks bro! I’ve definitely been having fun with it.

Thanks for sharing this technique! I love complete saturation of a shirt. Sometimes i don't want to see larger white areas.
The moonstone is fantastic! I’d love to see a sunburst using it. Maybe add some purples?

How do you prevent holes from the forceps? It’s beautiful.
@SledgehammerTieDyes Жыл бұрын
By being gentle with them. Don’t tighten them down all the way. The first notch is all you need. Also give it slack like I did by pulling the shirt towards the forceps as you twist so it’s merely spinning up the slack instead of pulling the shirt into a spiral. Just keep in mind that the forceps are mainly there to hold things in place as you get things started rather than a tool for twisting the shirt.

Wow this is beautiful! Very cool technique! I'm still pretty new to tie dye and I've never seen anything like it before. Any specific tool/technique you use to get the dye down into the cardboard? Moonstone is gorgeous. I recently ordered it and a few others. I'm still waiting for them to arrive but I'm very excited.

You know those kinda flimsy metal spoons from your high school lunch room? Yea. That’s what I use and I’m pretty sure that’s where mine came from.
