Great solution to the problem! I didn't have anything good like this thought up, so glad some other cachers could jump in and help. Glad to see it worked out for you, great new cache!

Thanks Chad. Thank you for the inspiration that you have given me and letting be bounce a few ideas off of you as well. Look forward to many more projects that we may get ideas for.

Thanks I am happy with it. Just some fine tuning and cleaning it all up to go out in the field.

So neat! We love finding fun caches like this one. Sometimes I really think creating and hiding caches is actually more fun than finding them. So much room for creativity. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. I like coming up with different ways to get into a box. So your right making them can be more fun. If you make it and do something creative as a hider it is just as good as an FTF. 😀

I like the idea of the door catches. Nicely done. I've seen a gadget cache that someone built on a dedicated gadget cache build KZbin channel that I fancy replicating using a energy bar but the problem is siting it.

Thank you. Yeah I have a bunch of caches that I want to put out in the next few months. Amos for getting some out there and welcome to the CO family.

Great job. You really thought of everything and appear to have made this container right the first time. Color me impressed!

It was all luck I did have to tweak here and there. Thanks.

Great series. I thought it would go well at Geocaching Central, so all 3 parts are listed in the GADGET CACHE section. www.geocachingcentral.com

As you spin and rotate this around, won't the bolt that's holding it eventually come loose and cause it to fall?
@BehindtheCache4 жыл бұрын
The metal sleeve is what really turns. If you have then tightness right with the second nut locking it in it should not loosen. You can also use locktight on it to keep from loosening.

@@BehindtheCache Ok, that's good. I was thinking if they pulled it towards them a bit and turned so there was friction on it, it could loosen it over time. It looks cool! Put a video up featuring people finding it!

I built a cache inspired by this a while back, unfortunately the spot in the woods where I placed it must have been a popular party area. It was smashed open within a few weeks 🤬
