If we keep our view of gravity as a measure of the energy density of the vacuum locally then gravity a) demands a non trivial manifold as the manifold must reflect/possess the qualities it’s parts may express b) should be thought of as density, physical density. This accounts for gravitational lensing. It even of course is consistent in that higher energy photon being closer to having mass is more greatly affected. Gravity is a change in the scaling of the metric. Quantum characteristics of gravity comes from energy and mass being quantized but this does not mean the vacuum itself is. Mass is quantized because the mass unit (the “cancelled out” charge components in quark construction of Protons and neutrons. 2/3+2/3-1/3=1 but those two thirds, one of each polarity didn’t disappear. They became an oscillating charge pair like a photon but trapped within the positive charge envelope of the proton. In a neutron there is one similar apparently stable unit. But then another one on top.

OK... someone needs to seriously coach this guy on public speaking, OK? It's maddening to listen to someone end every sentence with OK? It's unnecessary, OK? It's condescending to the listeners, OK? And he's a "professor" who taught students in classes, OK? This tic should have been addressed decades ago, OK?
