Went with liquid Azoxy this season, following your bulletproof strategy. Agree is cheaper than granular and combining in back pack with bio-stims. Love getting multiple apps out at one time 👍

Alan, I was hoping for an alternative to your “bullet proof” application for fungus control. I also suffer with Gray Leaf Spot in my beautiful St Augustine here in Winter Haven Florida. I did apply Propiconazole using a battery operated sprayer along with Scott’s Disease X granular MAY 10th according to my journal in hope to combat the outbreak. Unfortunately, Gray Leaf Spot is manifesting in areas again as the humidity increases. I now ordered some 3336 and was reading the label online prior to its arrival and am confused on the application rate. Label states max application is 2oz per 1000 sq ft yet in the next section it seems to say for gray leaf spot 4-6 oz per 1000sq ft? Is that a preventative rate 2oz and a cure rate of 4-6oz? Also with the standard 1 gallon per 1000 rule, and the suggested gallon rate for application of 2 gallons, do you suggest mixing the 2 gallons and go over the area 2 times or stick to one gallon and irrigation right after application? I have just about the standard 5000 sq ft lawn. Thanks

What if the grass you just got put in a week ago has gray spots? We have to water it to establish roots, but that feeds the fungus 😬

Some fungicides quit working. I’m going to a class group 1 clearys and a group 3 thereafter; using this plan, we can beat any fungicide. Clearys is awesome!

I have this very problem in Port orange Florida. Did you back pack spray and do instructions show how much per gallon. I'm very new here and don't know how to get on email list ect.

Per the label, we have a max annual application rate of 8oz/1000. Do you just break that up into 2oz monthly applications June thru Sep?

You can by 3336f in 2.5 gallon increments, bringing the application cost to under 8 dollars per app or so

That Clearys is the great annihilator for fungus. Also doing my best to get rid of thatch and stop messing with the sprinklers during the day, but in the morning instead.

I have used all of these products. They will not kill the existing grass. The diseased growth will disappear as you mow the lawn, and all new growth will come in disease free (assuming you used enough product to cure).

Drop the Azoxy. Too expensive Add Daconil. Learned Thiophanate-Methyl was the heat in 1986 when growing a bentgrass green behind our apartment in Raleigh NC. Been growing warm season turf for 45 years.
