Here is my review of the GN Elite 500 Limited Edition Cricket release in Australia and New Zealand during the 2021/22 Season. I really liked the look of this profile. Excellent work by Gray-Nicolls AU/NZ to put time into releasing retro classics and release them in decent willow. Respect.

Lovely vid. Deceiving bat. Initially thought too railway sleeper for me but actually measures surprisingly smaller than it looks. So maybe I would pick it up after all! Agree it is a lovely profile. 🎥 🏏 👍

I haven't followed their releases that closely but I thought the Kookas came in 2 different grades. So did this Elite. The thing about limited releases is you always feel you should have got the top model, even if you cannot afford it.

The Elites I saw in both price points were great value for money. Much better value for money than the Bubbles.

many years ago I used a GN Ultimate. Then I got the Ultimate that I used to do the tap ups with given to me by a viewer. It suffered a toe edge crack 5th game so i fixed it and moved on to other bats as I was a bit superstitious 😂. The last season I played before Covid I used that bat again for a few games and it was a gun, but once my rob Pack arrived I switched to that. Bats used in my career for long durations included The GN Ultimate 1000, Slazenger Bradman Delta Back, Newbery Uzi Players, B3 Beluga Crown and a chopped B3 LB Tonto Butterfly, an Ishan decades ago. be a few more that only lasted less than a season

Ticks a lot of boxes , I’d rather have the ounce heavier dead weight with better binding and a thicker grip to make it feel better, love the big shoulders and hitting area, smaller edges is of no concern

Check the links in the description. I remember a Elite in the mid to late 90s, but they appear to indicate late 80s.
