Can we use other sponge instead of pool noodle?

Hi Mark, i know its been a while since you've done videos but I'm still watching and enjoying them. I've been loaning out my old bats to various people and running repairs on them. Interrsting to see different techniques being applied. I'm keen to hear how this held up vs your bats that youve just dowelled. I generally just run a few dowels through the crack. After i drill the hole for the dowel, i fill it with pva and blow it through the crack with an air pump. Usually repeat once or twice until glue is coming out the crack, then fill with pva again and hammer in the dowel. I then clamp it up in position without the dowel inserted to let it dry, then run the drill through the hole again in the set position, fill with pva and insert the dowel. These have all held up perfectly so far, but the oldest one has only really had half a season so far.

I’m not sure what the “A” stands for but my dad has a Screaming Cat which he had custom made for his batting style and preferences, on the other side where it says “AJ” (I think that’s what this one had) it has my dads Initials “BP” so I could only assume it would be the initials of the original owner who this bat was made for :))

Your reviews are one of the few decent sources of info on these bats. I couldnt resist temptation and bought a couple for lms. Not from the supplier here, but supposedly a mids reseller. By the handle they're clearly not genuine mids, but the performance of both is laughably over the top in every way. The tap up doesn't do them justice. Love your vids.
