2:54 I have never, EVER seen anything like this in my ~5000 hours of Dark Souls games (~2000) in DS1 I do have a theory: Enemies and friendly NPCs, when their pathing leads through a breakable obstacle and are obstructed by it, they will attack to break the object. Solaire turned around, tried to walk back to his 'home' he's leashed to, was obstructed by the branch, and initiated an R1 at the same time Grayfruit pivoted his character. In DS1 fashion (but with 0 latency!), he was snapped into the backstab animation. The reason Grayfruit takes no damage is because friendly npcs (while not pissed off by you) deal no damage to you. This is seen with Siegmeyer in Lost Izalith when you can fight the chaos eater things together. Of course, the player is able to hit NPCs, so they're not fully aligned in the same way enemies and invaders are, or a host and their phantoms. I would be interested in seeing if Siegmeyer can perform a similar 0 damage backstab! If he can't, that would probably disprove my theory.

@glorkYT3 жыл бұрын
Probably has an RNG system like super mario maker 2 where your movement and the scenario at hand will control what outcome you get
@thecountercounter91273 жыл бұрын
@@garrettjones494 thats rather unlikely that the rng for the recreation of a seed like that likely wouldnt start at the beginning of every roll, and even if it did, it would also require gray to fire on the exact same frame each and every time, which he clearly didnt, as displayed by the ball bucket shifting around in place wherever he shot. so yes, he did get an outcome equal to double the luck of a shiny pokemon
@thecountercounter91273 жыл бұрын
@@glorkYT even so, it wouldnt have mattered, as something like that, for the sake of generating random numbers, only matters when you are actively trying to shift the rng in ones favor, which, as you can tell, was indeed not trying to be done by grey, in fact, would he have been trying to, he would have been trying to shift the rng AGAINST himself to get the wrong side of the coin to restart faster.
@CaptainTechnicalityLP3 жыл бұрын
I've seen this happen in Peggle Extreme too. From what I can tell, in earlier versions of peggle, the chance of getting tails on the coin flip is set to be incredibly small when you only have 1 ball left. You can test it out yourself, it's likely to happen.
