Man, I remember when Khonjin fell off HARD. From nuking all of the funny out of Khonjin House to try to scrub out a few off color jokes he feared would get him cancelled, to the temper tantrums and contempt he would have to friends and fans alike as he would turn on them on a dime over just about anything, to all but confirmed allegations of abuse towards the people he had working with him on the Supermental game that will never come to be…boy has had quite a bit of drama for such a “small” content creator. Haven’t heard from him in years and last I checked his KZbin seemed dead, so hopefully he’s been just spending time away from the internet to grow as a person and get better.

We know that Gerald Robotnik went to Angel Island and studied the Master Emerald shrine. It's why there's a copy of it in the Space Colony Ark, and it's also why there's artificial copies of Chaos aboard the Ark. His notes are likely the reason SA1 happens at all. We also know Gerald was specifically researching Chaos energy. Well, in S3&K, what do you see during the fight with Knuckles during Hidden Palace, just outside the Master Emerald shrine? A mural of Super Sonic fighting with Eggman over the Master Emerald. It's theorized that Gerald saw this mural, realized it depicted a hedgehog wreathed in Chaos energy, and adjusted his research accordingly. I forget if it's actually used in game or not, but there's a line from Shadow during the final battle of SA2 where he admits that *Sonic* is actually the Ultimate Life Form. It's a point that's been dropped from the series going forward, but it's interesting to think about considering that SA2 was supposed to be Shadow's one and only appearance.
