Just a comment on the Z8 advisory. Took my Z8 to the UPS store (do you have these in the UK?) late on a Friday afternoon, after hearing about the potential UPS strike and I wanted to get my camera back before the possible strike in August. UPS got it to Nikon (in Signal Hill, CA), they went through it and checked everything (not sure if any actual "repairs" were done) and Nikon got it back to me the following Wednesday afternoon. Excellent service from Nikon.

I try to take my Z30 either with the 12-28 DX, the 24 1.7 DX or the Sigma 56 1.4 Z. The new 24 makes it as compact as with the 16-50 kit lens. Now that Sony released the A6700 I would really love an upgrade with the same style, a bump in MP and definitely IBIS, this will "set free" the system from relying on VR lenses.

I just used my Mamiya C330f in the studio last week. Other TLRs that I use are the Rolleicord, YashicaMat 124g, and Rolleiflex. By the way, I shot sports photos in high school with all manual focus and manual settings on my film cameras back in the 70s, and today I will sometimes set my digital lens and camera to manual focus for wildlife. Manual focus isn’t that hard and sometimes faster but what is hard to live without is Vibration Reduction when using long lenses.

Sorry I missed the stream….I agree with Randall, my Zfc with 26mm f2.8 pancake is a great walkabout combo! I often use my FM3A with Voigtlander 40mm f2 so they are both similar combinations, when it comes to field of view.

Your listener asking for a "400mm" suggestion for a D7500. It depends on what you want to shoot, but the Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 Contemporary is a very nice, reasonable weight (for a Sigma) for about $700 in the States.

Interestingly the Z8 silent mode (very good for quiet situations - weddings, classic concerts, etc), is different from the no volume setting for the shutter sound, which allows flash trigger and flicker control (silent mode doesn't) Just not sure when I can do without my Z8 for 11 days for the service recall - best AF I have ever used - phenomenal !

I've just got some film in for my mamiya TLR , it's a c220. I also found a rollei at an estate sale that I have sent out for a CLA and hope to run a couple of films through it too. I love my Z5 but suddenly feel bitten by the film bug

ONA makes shoulder camera bags that dont look like a typical camera bag. Very expensive though, especially leather ones!

Zenit E 😅. Mine is also "broken". I mean, it sort of works, sometimes, if I hold it upside down 🤣. I also have the later TTL but that thing is impossible to focus. It has a very bad focusing screen. The Sowjets also did a TLR, the Lomo Lubitel. It also... works 🙈
