I appreciate that this video has been enjoyed by many over the last few years and enjoy reading the comments that it's brought a little pleasure to nature/horse/animal/life/etc. lovers. Can't believe it's been almost 6 years! That said I'm not really looking to have a social commentary thread here; it's simply a foal running to its Momma...in a beautiful way...a cool moment...very cool we thought. I don't mean to offend anyone whose comments I may have removed, all (most) of the comments have been respectful, but I would rather just keep this thread simple. Plenty of other vids and places on the internet to delve deeper into social issues. If anyone is wondering where their comments went, its not that the comments were horrible, a few just led down a path to some other comments, this being the internet and all, so that's the explanation. :-) Some seem to have been deleted by their writers...not sure where the person's whose son was hiking the A.T.'s comments went!

@Nicksaari Thanks for the comment...have a great trip...its a special place to me and my family. We first visited the area in '98 during an A.T. Thru-hike. We try to go camping there about once a year now. The ponies add a little extra to the hike but as you know the views, colors, boulders and blueberries are great too!

I have been to Grayson highlands many times, and although it says do not pet them, a baby came up and started rubbing against us and so we had to pet her. I have pictures laying beside the sweet thing as she was sleeping. I went back the next year or maybe the year after that to see her with her all grown up with her own foal!

Oh my goodness that colt was galloping super fast I think that is like the fastest seen a foal gallop I used to ride a little stable where we kept our horses but I don't remember if our stable had a foals
