I’ve met a couple horses who were enamoured with little kids. It’s like they know they’re fragile and need extra attention. My last one would stand so attentively and quiet with kids up to 8, but any older than that and he lost interest. He also loved young horses, and would run around with the babies along the fence if he was pastured next to them

Got horse well two the younger one grew attached to me he sees me he calls out and its funny and he comes going butt to gate I got him so excited one time he started playing with other horse and my boxer loves patch they start playing and but once they get use to u they know who u are there loyal animals it takes time for them to come that way its like dog they can hate u are love u they can pick up how ur going be and jf ur loyal to them thell be 100 percent loyal back

My horse beat up her son when I was a kid cause he being a bossy stallion dared to scream at me. She came barreling down the hill do fast a dust storm happened and slammed into him bitting and kicking him hard entail he ran away essentially crying and than she checked back up on me 😆 she was a demonic horse when my dad first got her

haha my uncle had a ranch with more than 10 horses. One of them was called hellfire because not one of his ranch hands could tame him. Only my 10-year old nephew and 8-yr old niece could, for some odd reason. The horse had that "dont get near me or i'll kick your face in, but your kids are welcome' look.

I grew up on a farm in Howick , Quebec. One day I wondered off to the field and remember going through the fence to play with the horse. Now I was just a toddler, couldn’t of been older than three years old maybe a little younger. That’s because I had to stretch out my arms to rub my horses’ belly. And I remember making circles and figure eights around her legs. At one point my Mother had noticed where I was and started running towards me. My Mom was terrified that horse would trample me, but the horse was always still when I played beneath her. And when my mom was near she gently nudged me with her nose towards my Mother. I’ll never forget that .

I wasn't raised around horses but when I was pregnant with my 3rd and last, we bought a farm and got some great horses. Jesse and Apple and a pony. My daughter was fearless by 3 yrs old. She would go out, yell for the horses and they would come running. She would go out and get one of them, didn't matter which one and want to ride. It scared me to death though. The boys always wanted to fish, which there was a huge flowing creek on the property, to fish or swim. They loved the horses too but not as much as my daughter. I was for sure to have a heart attach in my late 20s because of her, lol. This video brings back a lot of memories. Love this

As someone who’s had many horses over the years it is the RARE horse who acts like this but when you do find one, it is a very, very special relationship. My first Lipizzaner colt was a strong, alpha type handful (even gelded). He was eventually sold to a trainer who competed with him. She was teaching a paraplegic woman (para rider) who needed a horse to compete with so the trainer tried her own, now highly trained Lipizzaner, who was occasionally still a handful. When the young woman got on him he turned into the calmest, gentlest nanny horse and took his job seriously. He KNEW! ❤️❤️ to these super special horses

My first horse Misty, got her when I was 11, was so gentle and protective of me. Horses are tons smarter than most people give them credit for and they are extremely empathic. This kid is going to have a great time growing up with Maple. Got something really special with this one.

Reminds me when I was a kid when my family had horses. Our mare Missy was just like that with my brother and I. Whenever we went out into the pasture she was right there with us like she was our mother. How the way she stood behind and over our shoulders like she was protecting us when with her. We were lucky to have such gentle horses. I miss those days.

Wow - what a precious gift to give a young person. I got my first horse at 35. To what this child's joy leading her was wonderful. Thx to Mom for posting, made my day. Btw, May May's coloring is beautiful.
