Join us as we explore the area of Graytown, first known as Spring Creek, the name was later changed to Graytown where the gold rush started in 1868, the rush only lasted for a couple of years before the diggers moved on. During World War 2 the area was used as a Prisoner of War camp housing German sailors from the HSK Kormoran captured off the Western Australian coast after sinking the HMAS Sydney, they were detained there until 1947 where upon returned to there homelands.
