The laser precision of each note subtly nuanced with the exact amount of emotion he wants to convey is staggering to anyone who has a working knowledge of the vocal technique this requires and the thousands of hours of practice necessary to achieve it. Amen and thank you Dimash. I'll likely not hear another in my lifetime.

That's awesome, I'd be very interested on hearing your thoughts on the vocal techniques Dimash displays. I'm a rock/metal type singer myself, (though I do enjoy other music and have a massive appreciation for skilled singers outside of those genres,) so your thoughts coming from an opera perspective would be great to read about. And thanks very much. I'm really enjoying how much people seem to be enjoying my voice in these videos, haha.

He'd nail that one no question, it'd be criminally easy for him technically. Would be very interesting to hear his interpretation with his tone of voice, as it'd be very different from the original. And yeah he'd definitely be adding plenty of higher notes. He's got at least a comfortable octave that he can utilise musically with no problems on top of what Miljenko had, and plenty more notes above that to play with so it'd be interesting to hear what he'd do with a piece like She's Gone.

Thanks Great for coming back to react to Dimash Hello performance. Dimash is an amazing young artist with excellent vocals with extraordinary vocal techniques. Since this performance in 2018 as a guest in The Singer, he had expanded his vocal range from the list baritone from D2 to C2 and yet he continues to sustain his very high soprano notes. Hope you will continue to react to more Dimash new songs ie: Sinful Passion, The Love of Tired Swan, Mademoiselle Hyde, Live is Like A Dream. Thank you for your GREAT, GREAT reactions. Love it.

@Grays_Plays4 жыл бұрын
He's one of a kind vocally. Flawless technique, and his expressiveness and his sense of musicality is remarkable given how terrible most singers that I've heard with similar ranges tend to sound. They run the risk of being one trick ponies with the focus and dedication it takes to develop that kind of extreme range, so I've been extremely pleasantly surprised to hear how Dimash hasn't overlooked the other areas of his voice, he sounds amazing even just crooning in his speaking range. First time I've heard it in 14 years of focusing on improving my own vocal technique. And cheers, I'd love to get into voice acting or radio at some point. Not sure how to go about it yet but comments like yours keep me hopeful it'll happen. Thanks for the subscription, I'll get more reaction videos done soon. Take care.

Also, I can sing but I'm not a 'singer' I'd like to ask how you expand your vocal range, and how to be able to do what he does when he sings at 5.51 I can do it in hv but not with any mix or chest
@Grays_Plays4 жыл бұрын
Awesome, thanks very much for the sub mate. Expanding your vocal range for me was a slow process of trying to find the right sound for the part of my range that I was trying to develop, and very gradually building strength and getting comfortable making that sound. I'd highly recommend using the vowels Ooo and Eee as they're the narrowest vowels and the ones that give most singers the most trouble. Go as quiet as you can and try to sing those sounds over your first bridge with as much chest voice feel as you can. It'll probably be a struggle to do and what you should try to do is add more twang to narrow the sound and focus on the parts that you're probably weakest at. This is effectively building your "mixed voice", (you'll do a similar thing with nay nay nay exercises.) It's all about narrowing the sound and building the muscles and the right sound qualities in your voice to allow you to stay in a full sound as you go up in your range. Feel free to really emphasize the twang sound to make notes happen, and don't worry about it sounding ugly in the beginning, you're trying to develop your voice not win over an audience. It gets prettier sounding and more full as you get comfy at it, but in the beginning you need to go quiet enough to isolate the parts of your voice that most likely need strengthening, and you need to emphasize that whiny sound enough to keep other more dominant parts, that are currently hindering your voice, from taking over when exercising it. As you go higher you'll need to add more twang to stay in a full sound, so bear that in mind. Don't let the sound distort though, as that'll tend to happen when you overuse the twang sound. There's nothing wrong with distortion but you want to be able to sing clean as well so make sure to keep things as clean as you can while exercising your voice (unless you want to be able to sing with distortion, in which case do some separate exercises for that and keep your main singing practice clean.) So in short, use narrow vowels, sing the notes you want to develop as quietly as you can, use twang to stay in as full a sound as you comfortably can, and then open up and make it sound nicer over time as you develop and get comfy. Make sure to try singing songs with the new sound that you're developing, as songs will work your voice in ways that isolating vowels with exercises never will. I hope all that makes sense. It's a slow process and you'll need to get decent at using your voice this way before it'll sound musical, but it will help you get there. If you can do that phrase at 5:51 in head voice then that's great, but your next goal should be to try to add some chest voice weight to what you're doing and see if you can start to get there. Again, keep it as quiet as you can, use plenty of twang to get the level of fullness that you're after, and then open up the sound and shape it how you want it to sound as you get comfortable with that level of fullness. Twang is a stepping stone worth focusing on to build raw strength in the voice, but once you're able to get notes comfortably make sure to start trying to refine the sound so that tonally you sound like what it is you're trying to sound like. Hope that helps mate. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers.

you are so talented yourself, and that you recommend him to singers is brilliantly generous! Thank you!
@Grays_Plays5 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you. I get by, haha. Took me long enough but it's nice to be at a level where I'm not crying because I don't have any range anymore. And I do recommend listening to him, his technique is flawless and any singer can learn a lot by listening to him.
@mireilledelescen77364 жыл бұрын
I think it’s too easy for him to do “she’s gone”!!!😁😂
@Grays_Plays4 жыл бұрын
Definitely, that song is reasonably straightforward if you have the range for it. Dimash's range is at least a comfortable octave on what Miljenko displays, and the emotional dynamics are what Dimash is best at so no problems on either front. Would still be interesting to hear though, as I think it just wouldn't be an interesting enough song for Dimash vocally. If he did it as it is originally I think it would end up being a rather average performance from Dimash if I'm being honest, as he's leagues beyond that song vocally.

Opera 2 from The Singer, is fun to watch and jaw dropping at the same time. Adagio, Contessa/Diva Dance from The Singer, All by Myself and Diva Dance both from Bastau. If you watch Diva Dance from The Singer first you'll be amazed how he was able to outdo himself on that one at the Bastau concert. Love of tired swans is more recent and beautiful too (do the live performance, not the video) enjoy 😊
