Though I’d say thanks for posting your Clio mechanical videos one of my favourite channels , really useful .. bit of a visual forum

Thanks dude, glad you find them useful. A form of project thread and time capsule for me which I hope others can also enjoy.

Goes well, doesn't it! Wouldn't mind jumping in as a passenger sometime in the future. Looking forward to more videos

Feels like it but I’m clearly not doing very well barely squeezing a 59s lap out of it! Defo, passengers always welcome :) turbo is a lot more intense with no bulkhead sound deadening!

What a rocket, awesome build bud. I’m hoping to get my Meg R26 down to brands in the spring!
@TrackItYT4 жыл бұрын
Thank you mate, it's quite the hoot. Brands is great for the pocket rockets which handle well!

G'day mate. How's the race car going? 👍🇦🇺
@RuskiWeldFab4 жыл бұрын
nice driving!!! man, i want to get back on track! my car is ready but just need mapping. yeah on turbo engine fuel starvation is a real problem. swirl pot the easiest solution!
@TrackItYT4 жыл бұрын
Won’t be long now I’m sure! It only got bad when the fuel was about half a tank so I’ll try to keep it topped up in the future to avoid the enormous expense of a swirl pot setup. Brands is the main UK track for a long sweeping exit and a short shift solved 😊

Very nice driving. What tyres are you running in this video? Thanks.
@TrackItYT4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adiel, Yokohama AD08R. They’re the weak link in the car now due to the soft sidewall and slightly harder compound. I preferred r888s when they were available and next time would go for AO48s or AO50s.

G'day mate. Nice driving! You should try Rt700 brake fluid from America. I've done dry and wet boiling tests on lots of performance fluid and it is by far the best for race cars.

Thanks dude, that’s a great tip. The reviews are spot on for what I need. Compared to artisan beer in one of them 😂

Spanking everything in sight 👍 my last outing at brand's I didn't enjoy, had some real bad/impatient drivers and marshals just let it happen. Snetteron for the win, I also had smoking brakes at brand's lol keep up the good work 😁

Oh man that sucks, nothing worse than inconsiderate track use. Whether quicker or slower it’s super important to give space, that’s what the blue flag is therefore after all! Couldn’t believe how hot they got, mentally good really for an OEM set up.
@Smokey80803 жыл бұрын
What tyre's are you running? Looks a great set up! Where did you get the turbo kit from? Thanks
@TrackItYT3 жыл бұрын
They’re AD08R but The tyre wall is a bit soft for me. Turbo is made up of a GT2560R and broadly follows the engine dynamics kit with a few changes.

Looking good man. What brake fluid are you using to cope with those kinds of temperatures??
@TrackItYT4 жыл бұрын
Not the right one that’s for sure 😂 typ200 at the moment but think something higher spec is in order now I’ve upgraded the pads to these beasts!
@ptr10194 жыл бұрын
@@TrackItYT I've just spent all day at Bedford Autodrome in 30+ degrees. I run Motul RBF600 and the brakes performed brilliantly all day! (64 laps of the GT circuit, Fiesta ST 150, OEM size EBC discs and Yellow stuff pads)

Hi mate, who owns the Silver 182 that you reference at the beginning? Is it also turbo’d?
@TrackItYT Жыл бұрын
Hey, Not sure now, it was sold last year. Yeah it’s also turbo’d. There’s another video on it somewhere on the channel. Was identical specs at the time we filmed. G
@blairo152 жыл бұрын
Hello again mate. Just checking in. Have you still got the track car?
@TrackItYT2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, not anymore, I sold it a while back to someone who is still using it to its full capability. Life moved on and I didn’t have the time to use or maintain it anymore. Same with the 1 series. Some pretty boring videos of a trackday I did at the Nurburgring on the sister channel lesstrackit in its replacement but that’s now sold too!

Could you possibly print another cruise control board for purchase to use the radio stalk? Thanks
@TrackItYT4 жыл бұрын
These are sadly a minimum order which I did when there was an offer on easyEDA. Full details of it are here if you want to replicate it. They're actually a very simple design. cliosport.net/threads/martins-track-clio-182-project-thread.767120/page-17

TrackIt many thanks for your reply, wow didn’t think you’d reply to everything.. question you might like, just bought a trophy do you think since it’s lowered stock it would benefit from roll centre correction kit?

Just a technical question… I have a mk2 1.2 8v authentique and I really want electric mirrors and a central dash clock.. is it as straight forward as swapping the dash loom for a dynamique?
@TrackItYT3 жыл бұрын
Dash clock I almost guarantee you have the wiring under the dash ready to go. Likely for electric mirror etc, would need to change door looms to test. Can have those bits cheaply so worth a shot
@davidpring91083 жыл бұрын
I’ve had a good look under the dash for the clock loom and it isn’t there, no additional wires are run for mirrors either 😔 there’s a dynamique near me that’s being broken

Oh no! What's happening here? no more vids AND your selling the Clio?!?

Life has changed a lot in the past 18 months and twice had a cancelled trackday at the ring. Still keeping the dream alive with other cars down the line but for now financial and time resource is having to head elsewhere sadly.
