Since Alex said she started dating him in 2016 "right before START A FIRE", they had a relationship that went for a few months. But then she said they broke up because "promotions started for him" and well, BTOB had a comeback in march 2017 and VIXX in may 2017. 7. I used to do some modelling in South Korea a couple of years ago, so I can guess how she was treated based on my experience. When the MUAs are aware that there will be a black girl in the shooting, they always have at least one shade of dark brown foundation that they mix with a dark beige one until the color matches the skintone of the model. For the hair, I had real hair extensions back then so most of the time they would either curl or straighten it depending on what the look for the photo shoot or video had to be. Since Alex's hair seems to be "thin" (I don't know how to say that properly in English), I'm guessing that doing her hair before she went on stage wasn't that complicated. That being said, some MUAs don't bother when they are not given any particular directions. I wouldn't be surprised if Alex had to do everything on her own, I'm pretty sure that some Korean idols are in the same situation sometimes

It’s hard to get in the Koreans circle if you’re not korean. I used to work in a korean company and although majority are nice and respectful but they have an invisible boundary. It’s like they don’t share anything personal or want to get to know you as a “closer” friend. They would say nice things to be respectful but may not mean it in their hearts. It’s just my two cents don’t hate me. I guess every culture, race is different so I’m ok.

As an Asian girl, that’s the exact thing I felt and experienced when I was studying abroad in the US. People there were kind in general, but I felt like there is a wall made of glass right in front of me whenever I am in a meeting like a group discussion. Also, there was a moment when students had to form a group for a project throughout the whole semester, but back then nobody didn’t let me in the group. They literally ignored me. So ultimately I had to drop out of that class because I couldn’t find a group to belong to.

Rania’s company is a real real real mess Like they announce they’re going to comeback in June 2018 and then suddenly the Chinese member Ttabo left as well and then they added a Thai member who’s a 01-liner and thenthey say they are going to comeback soon and then that’s it They just add members whoever they like and just don’t think of the consequences It’s kind of weird they have such a weird contract lol the members just keep leaving after 1/2 comebacks and new members just keep being added without even thinking Tbh the biggest tea I wanted to know is has she ever got paid 😭😭😂with this whole mess of the company I felt like they never ever gained profit loll Ps I always knew Rania was free to date anyone as I knew one of the members just married a ToppDogg member lol Pps just checked on wiki they got married because they had a son and right after they had a son they separted...omg what a mess

14:41 when Alex talked about the thing that someone said to her that hurt her before, hurt me right now as well. As a kpop fan, tbh, one of the reasons why I support my idols is bcs I know they've sacrificed a lot to debut bcs being a trainee is like survival of the fittest. And debuting as an idol doesn't mean that you're going to live a life fulk of luxury. Kpop idols are idols because they are passionate enough to do it, it's their dream and not just bcs they dont have anything good to do or what. PS. I hope you're doing good now, Alex :))

I love Alex like I remember reading the essay she wrote about getting into Kpop and I always appreciated her since then bc she really understood why Kpop works esp fan engagement wise. But that’s probably a big reason why you won’t see as many British Kpop idols as American

number 2 : this had probably started around May-June , as the 3 last original members left by the end of may. number 3 : His group was probably not promoting either right before "start a fire " which was released on december 30th 2016 , that minus 2 months of preparation would've given them from june-november (unless they were on and off) number 4: He's not the leader but famous enough that Alex knew him ? and his English is not good.

I honestly have so much respect for Alex, it just sucks that she wasn't treated like the other artists despite putting in the work for it. Like if a company wants you and then you train like any Korean trainee would, and the domestic K-Pop fandom accepts you then like it just sucks to see that go. What I don't understand is why she had to go back to the US and they would just phone her to bring her back for promos? Like that's such a messy way to manage a group, if you look at other foreign trainees they don't mention going back they usually just mention not being able to go home.
