Hey nice work Therry! I’m a inspector out here in California and I inspect grease traps everyday for restaurants and make sure they’re in compliance with city ordinances. You did a nice thorough job. Keep up the good work👍

Hi Anthony. This is the first video I have seen about grease trap and I think is very useful. Please, I have a question if you could answer. I have a hatco grease trap. Do you know how works in restaurant kitchens? Thank you.

Luciano Garcia Hi Luciano. I’ve seen a few of these in town where I work and they seem to do a decent job in collecting grease. The only thing I will say with metal grease traps is that they tend to get rusty and eventually rot out. Over time they don’t last as long as the newer plastic grease traps.

That's good Anthony..... I hope that in the Riverside county they would do the same... I pump grease too... And I have come across restauran That never pump theirs... ( Asian restaurants) they will, only until they get a back up in the gain line.. lol

Never buy metal grease traps they are just plain junk... Go plastic or stainless steel... And anything over a hundred gallons... fiberglass Also pouring water down the clean out hole isn't usually enough using a Long Bar or wooden dowel works best to clean that out" heavy grease deposits"... and use deodorizer to clean work area when done!!

How does a grese trap work
@jasonmartinez5116
@jasonmartinez5116 2 жыл бұрын
Grease traps prevent the flow of solids like fats, oils, and greasy water into the secondary tank aka the cleaner water that flows into the sewer. If a grease trap is full, the grease and solids will spill into the secondary tank and will clog up the lines, restricting the flow of the water into the sewer. This can also be a fire hazard and puts off a horrible smell
