Video was great help. Thanks buddy. I'm tearing down my Beta Xtrainer "Vanessa" over the winter. I'm sure she will need bearing service.

Really helpful thanks brother. But you cut out the clip of removing and installing them Heim Joint bearing. Ive seen people us special tools did you use any?
@highlandcycles4 жыл бұрын
I do. I use the right tool for it. Motion pro sells it. You can use normal stuff but the right tool makes it WAY easier

Why do they use the heim joint there instead of somthing like needle bearings? If all the other linkages are working correctly then that linkage will only rotate and not twist laterally right? Is there that much flexibility built into the frame and swingarm or am I way off?
@highlandcycles4 жыл бұрын
neil spires I think it’s because of the nature of having it bolted directly to the swing arm without a linkage. When the shock compresses it twists because of the spring and that heim joint allows for some movement

Ahh ok that makes sense.

I bought a used bike from 06 im short so I bought a lower link and when I took the old one out the needle bearings were rusted and fell everywhere guess the guy before me never greased it ever.
