GREAT 90 minutes at a LOST station!!! Severn Valley Railway. 23rd April 2022

Severn Valley Railway, Spring Steam gala.
SVR were running a great free bus service from Bridgnorth to Eardington Halt.
A very enjoyable, but cool, ride on an open top doubledecker bus to a halt I had not been to before.
A lovely place to visit, with a very interesting Lamp room. ( a very interesting chat with the gentleman that has restored many of the lamps.)
Some vintage cars, including a shunting manouevre!!
And of course the passing trains working up the bank, including 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley.

That station of erdington halt has been remodelled slightly and they made the platform longer

Why take a free bus ride to Eardington Halt, when you can ride behind a steamy all the way to Kidderminster? Eardington Halt is OK to watch trains and enjoy a picnic, you had the best views from the top of both bridges. I've had a second and sootier ride behind 5619, as the Llangollen Railway was celebrating a wedding party.😂🙃

I got the train back back to Kidderminster later. Yes, good views of passing trains from the bridges. Hope it wasn't too sooty for the wedding guests. 😀
