Just dunk that bottle in vinegar to dissolve the rust (I'd remove the stopper to be extra safe) and if needed just bathe it in acid to remove the inner gunk ^^ I've noticed people using dental picks for finer details and also those mouth washers things where you use a nozzle to shoot water between yer teeth to clean them.

Good dig pal., shoulda gone down deeper and dug yself a way in while at soil level, which would've given you somewhere to chhck back out. But nice finds regardless.

@8.07 walker and hall are a good quality maker they did a lot of silver,silver plate and stainless steel items like teasets, teapots and cutlery etc, might have a bit of value as a advertising piece

A "bell ink" I think it's called and the small one a "pork pie ink" brilliant finds mate, some holes you had going there . Can't wait to find a site like that up here to get digging

I soak "hard to clean bottles in Harpic bleach, the stuff in the black bottle and it makes the stubborn rust stains much easier to clean. I'm sure there is some kind of acid you can get to dissolve the sticky stuff inside the bottle, otherwise harpic bleach is the next best thing. I also use rice and a bit of soapy water to clean the inside of bottles.

Please don't throw bottles away simply because you already have one. These things have been in the ground a long time and some people may just be starting out in bottle collecting. The one you chucked is not one I've seen and it may not be found in other parts of the country either.
