Some other ladys may sit in a cafe after shopping and show each other their newest gucci or vuitton piece. And there you are showing each other (and to us) some pottery pieces and half of a horse scull out of the mud. I love it!

I knew the piped piece was a gas lamp part as soon as I saw it. I grew up in a 1800s tenement house, here in 🇺🇸, and although the gas lamps were no longer used, the lamp hardware was left in place throughout our building. We moved there in 1956. And left there in 1972. Lots of beautiful Victorian features that we lived with … fireplaces, ornate ceiling lights, and until 1960, we used a coal stove to cook and had no heat in the winter! And we had a dumbwaiter! 💕👏🏻🇺🇸

Happy Birthday, Monica! So many lovely treasures that you both found. The bead that Monica found and the button that you found Nicola are definitely the highlights for me. The pipes are always nice to see as well. When you first started to unearth the gas lamp, I thought it was a big hook of some kind. I thought it would look great beside one of your glass fish. The fish could be looking at it, but of course way too smart to actually bite it. A great outing that cheered up my Sunday chores day.

You should buy Monica one of those umbrella hats! That way she has both hands free, and will still have a shaded head. If you haven't seen these before, you can find them on line. But, they usually sell them at touristy places. What a wonderful birthday of finds you both had!
